So far in their careers, yes. BUT, Oscar didn’t play last season, but a few games. Not real fair to compare both of their college careers thus far. Oscar was ranked slightly above Kofi out of high school.

The comical thing about it is we have literally the exact same posters now saying Cal passed on Kofi because he wasn’t a good fit, that were the EXACT same posters who, when asked “who is our star player?” Would answer “it’s going to be kofi” when all the rumors were pointing to him transferring here. People that don’t see the comedy in that are just missing it

Exactly what beat us against Wisconsin. The officiating didn’t help, but still. Had we pulled out of the switching everything defense, we throttle that Wisconsin team. Should’ve also picked up full court IMO. Make them eat up time on the shot clock. In turn, they would have to rush their offensive sets.

Then obviously you haven't watched oscar. They play the exact game. Same length, same bruising low post game. Oscar shoots the ball better from beyond 10 ft and runs the floor better.
Kofi doesn’t have a mid range jump shot, can’t shoot free throws, gets abused on switching onto smaller, quicker guards and stays in foul trouble. That’s a whole season worth of evaluations. There’s a reason the NBA didn’t want him.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it’s incredible that when it looked like there was a good chance he was coming here, he was being promoted as the answer to the question of “who is our star?”
Everybody gets caught up in the hype in recruiting. That’s understandable. As far as being here to tell people how good or bad someone is, it’s an exercise in futility. Once someone’s made their mind up about someone, their opinion isn’t going to be swayed.
He played 10 games and didn't want to play 1. It was obvious there was something going on behind the scenes. I have no idea why anyone would judge a kid on a 3 -4 week period of a season in which had turmoil
I'm not in this fight but I think most would agree that Kofi is a taller and better version of Oscar.I get that it's popular to knock the player that went elsewhere and some are now saying even Duren wasn't really good.
He's 6'9 and didn't lose his starting job. He started every game west Virginia played from the time he arrived on campus.
He lost his starting position to Culver.He still started but Culver outplayed him and grabbed the position he wanted to play.That's why he came here.
He's taller no doubt.
If Kofi was as great as some posters make him out to be, don’t you think he would have been on the roster? We had room for him. Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman obviously didn’t think he was a good fit either or otherwise they would have been able to convince Cal to take him.
I can only judge by what I see, that's true it was a handful of games at D1 last year. So I'm not sure where everyone is coming with all of these other traits that Oscar has, mine is just based on reality of what we've seen so far. Everything else is conjecture.
No he didn't like how they were gonna use him with another big. You can make up all day what you think but it's not true.
Maybe or maybe he's not as good as some thought.We will see soon enough but I don't see Oscar as a star type player.
