Where did you see this? Not doubting you, I just looked around KSR and twitter and didn't see it.

Rather play in a good city, if you like nice airport, nothing to do, nice topography, probably have a nice karoke at the Holiday Inn then Charlotte is your city. It is a dud of city. Let's hope it's Nash Vegas or Jacksonville. UT has bigger alumni base in Carolina's. Intrigued by playing Miami but Charlotte is a dud. Nashville not because I live here but I work in Charlotte a lot, it is nice enough to work in and fly in and out of but not for 2-3 days of bowl fun.

I also don't think UK will travel that well to Charlotte, not because of BB game but not a destination city. Hell give me Shreveport

UK doesn't get to keep that money. They get a very small % and the rest goes into pot and then divide amongst all SEC schools.
UK can spend the hell out of it and whatever they don't use than goes back to SEC. Most of the kids are going to drive into city to save their money, UK will blow it or should, Invite boosters, families of coaches and admin. Blow it

^^^^ This..... The money is pooled each school gets 50-60 % of the payout. We benefit from Bama being in the playoff and whomever gets the Sugar Bowl invite.
As far as the Belk bowl possible opponent, Miami makes no sense, they do not have a huge following, it would be someone like UNC, WF, or maybe GT, that would bring more fans.

Agree on the Canes. Lesser opponent, with more important exposure for recruiting... a strange contradiction. We have nothing to really gain from playing a more competitive game versus Iowa or similar. Let's maximize chance of victory, and build that South Florida street cred.
