From the sports side of things, it is quite amazing that someone who is completely clueless about sports other than what is spoon fed to him from his "sources" and so forth, is as successful as he is.

His liberal politics are well known and quite often he can't get out of his own way in an effort to keep his show from crossing that line....unless it is intentional, which is likely. His senate aspirations were always amusing, given he wasn't qualified to be on an HOA board, much less represent our state in DC.

I dont know why everyone is upset about his politics. Who cares? Whats more annoying is his instintance to gush over NBA when most of the state doesn't watch. Or his music selection. I'd rather be struck in the head with a ball peen hammer repeatedly than to set through an hour of music he likes. He should just let Shannon choose music and stay out of it, cause he has crap taste in music.

Make it “Matt Jones Sucks Sweaty ***” and I’m all for it.

He lost me over 3 years ago with his daily show. Not necessarily because of politics, he just became stale. Lach and Andy were way more entertaining.

However, there is still nothing better than tuning in to his post game show after a big dub. So he’s got that going for him.
