for working to get the fall break aligned with an away football game next year. This is the kind of stuff of practical stuff that the previous AD would have never cared about.

All he did was fly around the planet at the speed of light to turn back the hands of time so as to be in attendance at the meeting in which the orginal dates for fall break were selected.

Since the only thing (really) effected is the number of students at the game.

fan-friendly thinking. Seems like something quite logical but we could never seem to get this type of thinking from our administration in the past. Why make it difficult for the students to attend games if you don't have to?

It would be to his benefit to. Byrne seems to answer most of the questions/concerns posted on the pack in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe it's just because he receives e mails from the posters on this board or maybe he actually monitors it. Either way the information flows his way faster than it has ever flowed before.

Suck it LT!

for Greg. First it's not directed at him, so if he doesn't follow a suggestion or just ignores it no big deal unlike an email where he has to at least respond (or choose not to). Second you have all your fans combing over everything that is done. There is no way he could personally oversee every tiny thing going on but as a group we pretty much do. For example, say, misspelling the name of the ++%%#$* state. Last, and most important, you get immediate feedback and filtering. If someone suggests something and everyone here calls him an dubmass then it's probably not worth pursuing because the fans wouldn't buy in. However you get an idea and everyone jumps on board then hell, why not run with it? If I were Greg I would be all over this place and <shudder> even check out that other board.

I was told that the Student Association met with University Administration this past week and pushed to have this changed so that it would be better on the students and the crowd at the game.

program. I remember hearing about one of the famous louisiana governors from back in the day (can't remember which one) making them reschedule the louisiana state fair so that it wasn't on the same weekend as an LSU home football game. Everything should be scheduled AROUND football.
