I have no idea what eligibility rules are but I’d be open to Whitney next season.Next season
Him and the other g league guy we are looking at. We are still looking at him right? That would be two good players to build around including Moreno Kam ChandlerI have no idea what eligibility rules are but I’d be open to Whitney next season.
What are the rules for players like that to come back to college?Him and the other g league guy we are looking at. We are still looking at him right? That would be two good players to build around including Moreno Kam Chandler
I have no clue but I would be all the way for him joining. I think he really wants a shot at redemption and would give us his all if given the chance. I was super impressed with him in TBT tournament. I thinks that’s the name. What are the rules for players like that to come back to college?
Just a guess and nothing more I have a feeling Bama we get penalized for playing that kid.As far as I can research, I don't believe he ever played in an NBA game, so depending on this Alabama situation, he could be eligible
Can't have played an NBA gameWhat are the rules for players like that to come back to college?
You would think. I don’t see it happening with the judge giving him permission. Kind of overrides anything even if it shouldn’t. If the NCAA ends up saying anything I don’t think they penalize Bama.Just a guess and nothing more I have a feeling Bama we get penalized for playing that kid.
Thanks JeffCan't have played an NBA game
Can't have a signed deal with the NBA
Has to be within 5 years of when he left college
Need to still have college eligibility left
I reckon he’s been way more than five years right? Can't have played an NBA game

Did something just happen that brought this question on?I reckon he’s been way more than five years right?
Edit: 2020. He’s one year removed. Darn
Nobody really knows what the limits are if there are even any remaining. The current NCAA rules say that starting in college and then leaving your name in the draft makes you permanently ineligible, but those were made before the slew of court rulings that the NCAA rules violate antitrust laws. Now we’re seeing Baylor play a guy who was drafted but never signed an NBA contract, which led directly to Alabama getting a restraining order to play a guy who had a two-way contract, but never played an NBA game. Now even that line is about to be tested by Amari Bailey suing to come back after having a cup of coffee in the NBA.What are the rules for players like that to come back to college?
No pretending needed. Just count banners.I’d rather we didn’t go down this road, even if it ends up being completely fine with the NCAA. Something about it just feels dirty. Plus, if we do, how can I pretend to feel superior to Alabama’s program?
No just seen his post while scrolling. A player openly asking how he can get eligible. Worth a shot imo.Did something just happen that brought this question on?
Just beat them. Right now we are having to pretend. 0-4 as of now with Pope. If it’s legal I don’t see how you could feel like it’s dirty. What’s dirty is other teams getting all these older experienced players and we aren’t.I’d rather we didn’t go down this road, even if it ends up being completely fine with the NCAA. Kyle Wiltjer with a little black in him would be unstoppable! All he was missing was a little athleticism. Still underrated. He helped quite a bit on that championship team.Oh yeah, Kahlil.
for a sec I thought you meant the black Kyle Wiltjer.
What a story that would be. Could go from one of the most disappointing UK players ever to the biggest redemption. Especially if he came back and helped win a chip. Movie worthy?I'm very much in favor of bringing him back as long as its legal to do so.

Think BBN was too big for him at the time. The spotlight and expectations. If I remember correctly he was a highly rated recruit. Could have all hit him in the face and he wasn’t suited for that kind of pressure back then. Would love to see the guy get a second chance.100%
If you're familiar with what he's said about what happened, and understand the dynamics he was trying to navigate as a teenager, it really would be the ultimate redemption arc.
Maybe I’m way off. I’m thinking he is extremely more skilled than Mo. forward body with guard skills. Just don’t see the comparison between them at all. I feel he would be a much better player than Mo. I could be way off tho.On a team full of brick layers I would say no for this year.
For next year, absolutely. Think of Dioubate’s skill set but he’s a slimmer version.
He quit on Uk years ago after showing that he sucked and you all want him back? Geez. What’s the chances of him having eligibility? I get it’s highly unlikely he would get a chance even if by miracle he was eligible but he clearly wants to be a part of UK.
Heck yea I’ll take him. I don’t hold grudges on 17 year old kids who publicly admit they were wrong. He quit on Uk years ago after showing that he sucked and you all want him back? Geez.
I’d take him back for sure as long as it’s legal.Heck yea I’ll take him. I don’t hold grudges on 17 year old kids who publicly admit they were wrong.
Very athletic and quick, has 7 years more of organized professional ball under his belt so I’d assume he could be a contributor. Was raw basketball skills wise but again 7 years more experience. I doubt he is able to come back but I’d welcome him if he can. Definitely want Pate and he will be eligible if he decides on the college route.I’m going to ask this because my memory isn’t what it used to be but what did he even do when he was here? I don’t remember him doing anything noteworthy other than shock value when he declared for the draft. I did not watch the LaFamilia games.
