damn shame.. wish the NFL insured players.. but with such an injury-ridden sport, and legal activities in this nation being what it is, not sure the sport could afford it.

Seems like a broken ankle or leg. Brutal. If there's any silver lining, maybe he can get some type of injury settlement that keeps him on the roster and around the team?

more like an injury buyout that's only a portion of his contract salary , unless there was guaranteed money part of the 4 year $4+ million contract he signed
The $138,328 signing bonus is his on top of any settlement, if any
More than likely will be waived once his injury is healed because too much time was lost due to his injury to show he was roster material.
Which is a bummer for him and everyone who hoped he'd earn a spot on Houston's roster

Most likely this. He keeps the signing bonus- his agent will try to fight for IR but mist likely a small buyout. He would not be a part of this team next year and will start over again and if he lands somewhere- there will be a contract clause addressing his injury. Tough break for the kid

Fractured ankle. A shame ’cause I thought this kid had a chance to be a quality player at the NFL level. I hope he still gets that chance to show what he can do next year after his recovery and rehab. Seems like a really good kid.
