I don't have all of the picks in the spreadsheet, yet, but if everything holds like it is now, it is looking like this is going to be out of 22. Will update this if it changes.

141, 174, 197, 285 Normal scoring = 12
125, 133, 149, 165, 184, OU sent wrong guy, but we picked unanimously, so all get 2 = 10
157 OU sent wrong guy, but we didn't pick unanimously for Sealey, so nobody gets anything.

YOOOOOOOOO, everyone listen up!!!!!

Sorry, bdon, but I'm going to use you as the example, because you've been doing this long enough, you hit the trifecta, and I'm not gonna pick on a newbie, yet.

Please, please, please do not use first names OR nicknames when entering your PSU wrestlers, not even SVN.

When I'm entering the data into the spreadsheet, I get in the zone, and I can enter a line of picks in under 10 seconds. When I'm flying across a row of picks, and my little brain sees "Mitch," it pauses my fingers, until it goes, "Mitch, Mitchell, Mesenbrink." That throws my timing off on the rest of the line.

Thanks for understanding.

So, we started out with 59 players. Normally we're in the mid-60s, but I suppose we might've lost some due to the other board being swallowed up by this one. Plus, I dropped 247, as well.

The total was, indeed, out of 22. I'm giving 1995PSUGrad the benefit of the doubt that he would have picked Van Ness, if he had put a pick in, which gives everyone the 2 points at 149.

So, twelve players were one short of being perfect, which goes to show how hard being perfect in this game is. In only four contested matches, no one was able to get all of them right. So, in a dual where all ten matches count, it's exceptionally difficult, and perfection is few and far between.

As always, if you see errors, please let me know, and I'll get them resolved.

First of all, thank you; I would have picked Van Ness. Second, have you considered using a Google Form for us to complete so it enters the data into a spreadsheet for you?

I've considered it, after discussions with @tikk years ago. However, with all of the possible iterations, I'm just not sure how that would look. If someone wants to set up an example form, where each team has two wrestlers for a weight, and the winner and win type for each of the four possible matches, I'll take a look at it.

Qne question, admittedly it seems to have affected everyone equally, this time.

The rules state "When the posted lineups suggest multiple possible matchups in a weight class and a member posts picks for only a subset of those possible matchups, no points will be awarded to said member for the weight class if the pick fails to include the matchup that ultimately takes place." This rule doesn't address the question I have exactly, but touches on my question.

It seems for 125, 133, 149, 157, 165, and 184, everyone should have received 0 points as the correct Oklahoma wrestler was not named in the match notes. Pretty simple. However, this question came to my attention when I noted that everyone got 2 for those weights except for 157 where we all got 0?

Why a 0 for 157, but 2 for all the other weights? Is it true that not even one person picked Joe Sealy to win, because if someone had the they can argue they should have received 2?

Out of the full list of participants, did not even one pick Joe, really? A shocking amount of disrespect, what's wrong with us? ;-).

So if we default to 2 points on all matches where the match notes list the wrong wrestlers then why didn't we all get 2 points for 157? Conversely, let's say if only one person picked Joe to win, they shouldn't have a claim to points uniquely since the pick is mapped to the wrong opponent. I suspect all of us would have picked Sealy to win if the opponent were not a #18 Hipolito.

Ultimately, only 4 weights had Oklahoma wrestlers correctly noted in the match notes, thus only 141, 174, 197 and Hwt should qualify for KYPSW points. Correct?

I don't think any of this changes the point 'differentials' for anyone, but 0 points where match notes don't match seems to be cleanest approach?

It's always you.

Several years ago, I changed the rule for when the opposing team sends the wrong guy, but we pick unanimously for the PSU guy. So, everyone gets two for those weights. This doesn't affect anyone's score adversely. It just gives more points, and as we all know, scoring more points is fun.

At 157, OU sent the wrong guy, AND we DID NOT pick unanimously. Therefore, no one gets anything at 157.

All of which was explained in post 83.

I was simply responding to
@goggles "Out of the full list of participants, did not even one pick Joe, really? A shocking amount of disrespect, what's wrong with us? ;-)."

Just haven't figured out how to quote a partial reply on this site.

Sorry for any miscommunication.

Thanks, Roar.

As a friendly reminder for these double dual weekends, please make sure to put which team your picks are for.

Also, highly recommended to separate your picks into two posts. Otherwise, you can't edit Sunday's picks after the start of Friday's match.
