SMH.I'm a physician. That sees covid patients daily. I'm probably the most up to speed person in this thread.
The government is trying to strong arm you into getting it. They want more people vaccinated to end the pandemic.
BUT guess what. They aren't forcing you to get it. You have the option to leave your job and NOT be forced to get the vaccine.
If you value "your choice" more than your job, all the power in the world to you.
Nope. Government has given your employer a choice. They're going to elect to stay open and require you to get vaccinated or to leave. So lose your way of life and way of supporting your family, because you don’t want to have a needle stuck in your arm? And the government has nothing to do with it?
Man if you believe this I’m honestly at a loss.
Actually these other people have read posts on Facebook and watched Youtube videos so they know more than youI'm a physician. That sees covid patients daily. I'm probably the most up to speed person in this thread.

You said the government isn’t forcing the mandate. That’s factually incorrect.Do tell.
100%!Not sure where the Mod's are today and why this is still up. Having said that, until the geniuses in Washington DC begin factoring in natural immunity details into their political knee-jerk decisions, they have no credibility or grounds for making these decisions.
The government isn't forcing you to get the shot. They are giving your employer a choice. Your employer doesn't want to close, so they will comply. You said the government isn’t forcing the mandate. That’s factually incorrect.
Exactly, they’ll comply. It’s absolute horse ****. No matter how you try and spin it.The government isn't forcing you to get the shot. They are giving your employer a choice. Your employer doesn't want to close, so they will comply.
Now you have a choice to get the shot.
This started with the government. I've said that 5 times now. You win. Government involved. But you are not FORCED to take the shot.

Sure. And those with natural immunity that don't want the vaccine have a reasonable stance. Not sure where the Mod's are today and why this is still up. The shot doesn’t give you immunity. It’s an insane stance.Sure. And those with natural immunity that don't want the vaccine have a reasonable stance.
But the majority of people that don't want the shot aren't running around preaching how they've got antibodies. They just don't want to be forced to have immunity.
I think even with an exception for those with antibodies--we're still looking at a very large part of our population that doesn't have and doesn't intend to get the vaccine.
I don't..... I don't think you know how vaccines work lolThe shot doesn’t give you immunity. It’s an insane stance.
You can still get Covid even with the vaccine. Does that sound like immunity to you? Asking for a friend. I’m fully aware of how vaccines are supposed to work.I don't..... I don't think you know how vaccines work lol
Doesn’t seem fair if a backed person gets COVID no PTO but a non vaxxed has to. Either way you got COVID, if you have natural immunity do you still have to use PTO? If so, that’s BS.We don't require our employees to get vaxxed, but they do have to use PTO if out with Covid, while those vaxxed do not. We're also considering the logistics of requiring non-vaxxed employees to pay for weekly testing in order to come onsite. That ought to be an interesting discussion with employees.
Like the example above, it's hard to demand for someone to get vaxxed, but the team/company can pretty much do whatever they want to make it uncomfortable to avoid it.
Sure. And those with natural immunity that don't want the vaccine have a reasonable stance.

This. Many times over. This.Vaccines have been mandated in this country for 50+ years. Most every schools requires a list of them to attend. It's nothing new, stop the ignorant rants about tyranny. The NBA and any employer is free to require it if they wish, and if you chose to not, it's your own call. Not tyranny, or oppression or anything like that.
Sure. And those with natural immunity that don't want the vaccine have a reasonable stance.

Everything has to do with the virus. We're talking about a vaccine that was created for the virus. We're talking about mandates because...we're still in a pandemic from the virus. The NFL, NBA, NCAA, MLB, etc. have all had to change how they do business because of the virus. You're absolutely kidding yourself if you think the virus doesn't affect everything. Not directed at cats192From the same country who condones the murder of innocent children because it’s “her body her choice”.
You guys are on borrowed time. History is going to curb stomp some of you.
Now I’m done. Good day.
And I’m fine with your opinion on the virus, but not the politics. That’s one of my fields actually. And you’re dead wrong, people cannot survive without their work, and some people live in very rural areas where there are not a lot of jobs. They CANT leave. Honestly it seems your position in life doesn’t lend the ability to understand the people who don’t have it so good.
Some of the highest rates of anti-vax peoples are black. They don’t trust you, a physician, and they don’t trust the government. You might know why, and if you don’t, research it. What do we do with them?
See what’s going here is politics has completely screwed people up. They want to paint a picture of unvaccinated people being gun toting red neck trump supporters, when the facts are it isn’t true.
So what we need to do is find ways to force the large populations of African Americans to do what their government tells them, and get the shot. Why isn’t this the biggest angle? Because you can’t create infighting this way.
I wish more people would wake up to things that really, don’t have anything to do with the virus.
Employers have mandated vaccines for decades. Was that an erosion of liberty? If so, then wasn't it already eroded?Yet there is no reasonable inclusion of natural immunity by your politicians into their decisions that affect every citizen.
It's most likely that the majority of people either are vaccinated and/or have natural immunity. And, that we are much closer to herd immunity that is being acknowledged.
There are also valid concerns about the erosion of liberty play here. Whether you agree or like it or not.
And Bradley Beal and Jonathan Isaac! This is just getting started, there will be many more! It's Wiggins and Kyrie, I don't particularly like either.. **** em.
I'm just glad my Houston Rockets are all vaxxed (or are at least ok with it), while we continue our mission to win 30 games.
But you CHOSE that profession. Apples to oranges.Everything has to do with the virus. We're talking about a vaccine that was created for the virus. We're talking about mandates because...we're still in a pandemic from the virus. The NFL, NBA, NCAA, MLB, etc. have all had to change how they do business because of the virus. I grew up very poor. And if my dad lost his job as a security guard at the coal mines--I'm not sure what we would have done. But I also know my dad who had to take a lot of vaccines would just man up and take another one so he could feed his family.
I am indifferent to your choice. When this thing took off--no one asked me if I wanted to take care of patients with a deadly contagious virus. There was no choice. This was the job. I could quit and go make less money doing something else. I care about other people, and I like my job and paying my bills--so I made the choice to do something I wasn't crazy about doing.
And because of selfish people like yourself--this pandemic has raged on for over a year and a half. So I'm constantly getting to take care of people--much like yourself--who knew their own risk. Who all think that they should have taken the vaccine because they didn't understand "THIS IS WHAT REALLY SICK LOOKS LIKE?"
So, no. I'm some rich jerk who is ignorant of your need to work. I'm a guy who stepped up from the beginning. And now annoyed that people like you don't think they should have to do their part in ending a pandemic. So, forgive me if I don't care that you have to choose between the shot and your livelihood. I had to choose between daily exposure and my livliehood.
So you can’t read? I never said there was no research.
I’m 35, I’ve had thousands of hours of clinical research, and I’d put my position in life up against yours with no issue. If you got me you got me, but I doubt it.
Just because you say things doesn’t make those things true. In the same breath you claim I said something I didn’t say, you then reword my words to fit your narrative.
You need a good old fashioned logic class my friend.
Stop quoting me in the thread. If you want just drink the vaccine while your political party spanks your ***. I don’t care. I’m only against a mandate. You seem to be against it too. So I don’t know where the issue even is.
In 2020, there was no pandemic. Since the vaccine rolled out, NOW we are in one. We have to protect the vaccinated, right?Everything has to do with the virus.

Yes you can. You can also get COVID again after already having it once before. Both give you an immunity to the virus. The whole point of a vaccine is to train your body to defeat a virus. It teaches your body to create antibodies without actually infecting you with the disease. Natural immunity does the same, but you have to get covid first. You can still get Covid even with the vaccine. Does that sound like immunity to you? Asking for a friend.
90% of the league is already vaccinated. Including KD, Lebron, and Giannis. The three most polarizing players in the league. And Bradley Beal and Jonathan Isaac! This is just getting started, there will be many more!
You chose a profession that is now going to require you get the vaccine. Life's hard. Go cry about it cry baby. But you CHOSE that profession. Apples to oranges.

It has a 99+% survival rate. Open and shut case. Y’all have a good one. I’m exhausted from this thread.Yes you can. You can also get COVID again after already having it once before. The efficacy for infections has dropped due to the new variant, but the efficacy for mortality has stayed relatively the same
Lakers are fully vaccinated it sounds like. LeBron is in the business of winning and knows that covid disruptions will hurt that.90% of the league is already vaccinated. Including KD, Lebron, and Giannis. The three most polarizing players in the league.
I got your cry baby. I would mop the floor with you.You chose a profession that is now going to require you get the vaccine. Life's hard. Go cry about it cry baby.
It's around 98.5% in the US. But hey screw those 1.5% am I right. That's only like 4.9 million peopleIt has a 99+% survival rate. Open and shut case. Y’all have a good one. I’m exhausted from this thread.
Y’all are some real stupid people. Have a nice day. It's around 98.5% in the US. But hey screw those 1.5% am I right. That's only like 4.9 million people

I get you with KD and LeBron, but how is Giannis “polarizing”? I’ve never encountered anyone who doesn’t like that guy.90% of the league is already vaccinated. Including KD, Lebron, and Giannis. The three most polarizing players in the league.
