WOW what a game! Sorry to MS4EVER on the loss, but damn they looked good. Please take out your frustrations on Barrington next week :)

Great game! I made the second half after the Northwestern game.

Far be it for me, a lowly former stat guy at Elmwood Park to question one of the big boy programs, but I don't understand two Loyola decisions late. Fourth-down and two at the 11 yard line with two minutes to go in the game tied… Loyola goes for it on fourth down rather than taking the easy three and the lead late. They made it, so no harm done.

Then, after they scored the go ahead touchdown, they went for two instead of kicking the extra point. They converted, but illegal man downfield, so the referees back them up and they kick the point anyway

In hindsight, going for the touchdown rather than taking the lead with a field goal paid off because Maine South scored so quickly. I can't find any logic, be it foresight or hindsight in going for two after the touchdown however. A failed conversion makes it a much easier win for Maine South.

On the other side, Maine South went for two and the win with 30 seconds left after scoring a late touchdown. Go for the win on the road, take the tile at home… That's common logic. I'm not going to second-guess that. However, if overtime were college rules from the 25 yard line rather than from the 10 yard line, I think Maine South should've taken the tie. From the little I saw, I like their offense to score touchdowns from the 25 more than Loyola's.

Was there a Maine South kicker injury? Is there something I missed in the first half? Anybody see this differently?

Great game MS! Love my Ramblers but I do NOT want to see the Hawks in the playoffs. I believe they have restored the soar..
