its early in the jsu game, but lala looks to be swinging at a lot of junk. the ump's plate is HUGE, but its so early, i dont see that as a factor in the bad swings. look like a bunch of fastball hitters to me.
JSU just made 2 huge plays in that inning. Any other time, that 7th would have scored 2+ runs... they called up a key pitchout then the firstbaseman made a great play to stop a run.

JSU is a good defensive team. I've never seen a team as aggressive as ULL... they are a bit too aggressive. A fundamentally sound team and a good junkball pitcher matches up well.
I once got Rob Jay out in a baseball game. I was playing in an Over-30 league a few years back, and I was pitching against Rob Jay. I tempted to bean him, but I doubt my 49 mph heater would've hurt much. Anyway, on a 3-2 count, I got him hit it back to me and I threw him out.
Their league, minus LL is 244 and 270 overall. They have played three tourney teams. Beat Bama 2of3 and LSU in 5,both early in the year, and SE La. who won their tourney.
I think they are about a mid level SEC quality team...about like KY but can run.
We play to win this ***** on Sunday. We play Johnny pitching staff tomorrow. We save our best junk throwers for the potential regional-winning matchup sunday.
