a waste this season was. We had a very favorable home schedule with the worst Auburn and Arkansas teams in many years. Sorry to belabor the obvious. I just have no where else to vent.

Pray that we can stay ahead of Vandy and Bobby Johnson for the coveted 11th spot in the SEC. Because with UT and Auburn about to throw big money at new coaches, we are going to fall even farther behind in this conference loaded with all star head coaches.

Everyone else will have an SEC caliber coach except for us. And if there's any school in this conference (except Vandy) that can't afford to be subpar in this category, it's us.

Your 1999 SEC schedule was pretty favorable with SC, UK, and Vandy (the three worst teams in the East that year), and a weak LSU and Auburn.

This year though, I'd say you landed the three worst teams from the East on your schedule again. UGA, Florida, and USC are definitely the top 3 teams from the East in my opinion. At least in 1999 you took advantage of the scheduling break, winning 10 games. This year, Croom isn't taking advantage of that schedule. That, along with the amount of seniors you had coming into this season made me think you'd have a shot at a pretty good year. I've been surprised at how it has played out.

thats a phrase you say after losing a close game in Death Valley, The Swamp, or Bryant-Denny....not after a roadtrip to a glorifed high school stadium, against a middle of the road WAC team.

LT was a douche bag for alot reasons, scheduling this game being one of them, but this little gem was all on Sylvester "We Will Never Embarass You" Croom.

That has to be the lamest, most embarrassing excuse ever. It makes me cringe to know that any school, much less state has fans like that. Using their logic, we should just shut the program down completely, that way we would never lose again. Pathetic thinking. Delusional arrogance. I wish to inform you that college football fans realize that MSU, although a longstanding SEC member, rarely is very competitive in SEC, sometimes can't beat a 1AA team. The loss to LA Tech was not a shocker to even a casual college football fan. I suppose you could try to convince the new AD to schedule only OOC games against D3 teams if that is legal, and see how that works out. What I would suggest though is that you put on your big girl panties and encourage the Dawg staff and players to work hard and win most of those games that, on paper, they should win.

BTW I will not be surprised if Dogs beat Crimson Tide.</p>
