Well, we had 7 sacks in the scrimage, so either "yes" or our line completely sucks.
Our defense was last in the SEC in sacks last year and Titus Brown had almost half of our total. I want to believe that our DL and LB are just that much better this year. I want to believe that.

We had a bad combo of an indecisive QB and an injured line. No less than 3 guys we thought would start were out at one time or another. We threw quite a few guys into the fire early. The good news is that they improved and now have a valuable year of experience. Improved QB play should help as well. OL depth will, once again, be an issue.

we dont have much depth on either front...neither do they...gametime should be about 91 degrees...in theory, they should wear down before we do...

side note- their best CB (I coached against him when he was in HS) has been out due to a spider bite on his inner thigh...he spent 3 days in the hospital...hopefully he will continue to be hampered by that and not get many reps...we need all we can to help our passing game

Yep...

We've got a CB that got some freakish spider bite and a WR that injured his toe sleep-walking.

Good thing Billy Bob's cat is okay.

Brown Recluse spiders can cause major tissue damage, if not treated quickly.

our former QB "Money" Mike Henig. That guy seemed to have an early onset case of osteoporosis (sp?). If I remember correctly, didn't he break his foot running up or down some steps somewhere (or was that someone else?)

Fresno State got 7 of those sacks (wtf happened there?), they have Kehoe who I still think is a decent oline coach replacement, a new quaterback and more experienced line: i say the over under on sacks should be 2 for that game.</p>

I read somewhere we are going to be more aggressive with blitz's this year b/c they are concerned our pass rush by the DL will not be strong. These 7 sacks may be a result of this change in strategy.

Brown Recluse?? They had to have amputated that leg or something!!! Oh yeah I say we need to sack LA tech's QB 4 or 5 times to have an impressive win and I think we will
