I’m an MC guy but I’ll get it started as it’s 2 nights away. I can’t remember the last time LA lost two consecutive games... I can’t see it happening this week. I like Loyola but thinks this will be BR only regular season loss unless PC is for real.
It’s a beautiful day out, let it goHopefully Holecek doesn’t get outcoached again
The Ramblers will be angry. If last Saturday's team is what Loyola is, Rice wins.
If last Saturday was a let down game for Loyola, Loyola wins
Great test for the Crusaders as this will show them what they are
Crete and Fenwick were a cake walk so Rice should be ready.
This is a tough game for Loyola, one less day of rest and coming off a tough game...then there is the drive...oh that drive.
Bowie: Not so much angry but focused. Absolutely not taking anything away from MC because as we all saw on TV, they are an excellent team. I think the problem for LA was the New Trier game they played the week before. The game was so huge that the players were treating it almost as a playoff game. They were not focused nor energized for MC. Huge mistake. Hopefully that won't be the case with BR.The Ramblers will be angry.
I also do not remember QB2 (Schiltz?) taking a varsity snap last year. Fallon was in a lot last year in garbage time. QB2 will learn from this. I do not see him throwing 4 picks again all season. The experience will be invaluable going forward. Again, I still think MC finds a way to win that game even if Fallon is in, but 4 pick from an LA QB is quite atypical. I also want to see Cabanban get more carries. Although, he only rushed for -4 yards on 4 carries, his breakaway speed is pretty special if LA can get him going. What's really cool is that LA has 3 jrs and 2 sophs strating on the O-Line. I haven't seen this many Jr's and Sophs on LA's O-Line since LA's 94 team. This line is going to be very dominant in the coming years. I hear that Olin Kreutz' kid is a chip off the old block! I have heard that BR's D is average, but their O is very impressive, so we shall see.Bowie: Not so much angry but focused. If he is, with Noah Jones out, BR wins. Boos was a tough WR, he must be really sick to miss thisIs anyone hearing LA WR - Boos/Roos might be out for game due to illness?
It’s just Jones. Appendix out. BBoth are amazing. It has to be Jones then with appendicitis and not Boos/Roos - having 2 of those guys out would be hard to overcome but has to be just Jones
Probly Rice's best D since '04. Offensively not the explosion of Smalling teams.I also do not remember QB2 (Schiltz?) taking a varsity snap last year. Fallon was in a lot last year in garbage time. Thank you for clarifying Rambler!LA O-Line has 2 juniors, 2 seniors and 1 soph that start ( as mentioned above : Josh Kreutz is the sophomore......) . LA simply did not play well last week.........that being said - I don"t want to take anything away from the Caravan. They won. Congratulations to them. The fact that somehow LA still had a shot at winning that game at the end is still somehow amazing to me given LA's prior miscues earlier in the game. If you have a bad game then you loose. If you have lots of bad games then you are not a good team. That is how it works. I think LA gets back on track. LA beats Brother Rice - 27 - 17.

I keep hearing that this is the best Rice team since ................ LA 28 - BR 14
Maybe LA is not as strong this year as they have been in the past. Their defense is very good. The offense shows flashes, but their running game needs a lot of work. LA could very well lose this game this week. I watched the Marist / Rice game and Rice's D looks fantastic. Would not be surprised if LA loses two straight.
QB1 dislocated his throwing shoulder. He won't be back for weeks, if at all. He is a stud and can run a lot better than QB2.I think maybe BR is finally as good as advertised. Good for them.
31-21
If LA QB1 is in then they win.
If not I'll take BR.
HAHAH against Badke, NO WAYHopefully Holecek doesn’t get outcoached again
shots firedHAHAH against Badke, NO WAY
How are those home team stands coming along over on south Dante...sorry I couldn't resist.
That score sounds about right as well
Leather recliners? How gauche.Just saw the movers take out the visitor stands from Rice and put on a truck over to MC. Rice is installing leather recliners for the Loyola fans.
Not bad...just a startHow are those home team stands coming along over on south Dante...sorry I couldn't resist.

Not supposed to be a big shot. I am just stating that Holecek will not be outcoached again. Also Monday morning QB, not even sure what that insult is supposed to mean .shots fired
Relax, monday morning QB.

Not too many coaches with outcoach Holecek.
If you dont know what it means you probably shouldnt be on a Football blog. Everyone on this tread will tell you I stick up for Badke.

Not tonightI know what that term means and it makes no sense in the context you're using it? He was just saying that Holecek is a way better coach than Badke. If you are disagreeing that is laughable.
Just in....Topiary pinched running illegal book at St. Patricia vs Holy redeemer grammar school football gameRice DLine played well and kept LA offense off guard. Great home win for Rice and especially for Coach Badke. That was a huge W and leads to the CCL Blue showdown next week at Provy (who may have put a dagger in Rita's playoff hopes)
