After the preliminary rounds, the seeds and bracket are ready to be announced. Because of the format change, we will go ahead and name douches 9-15. Finishing as a Top 15 douche should be considered an honor.

Now, there is a major upset in here, but no surprise, Coach34 is the top seed.

1. Coach34
2. Cecil Newton
3. Pat Forde
4. Fishwater
5. Mike Slive
6. Clay Travis
7. Jet Butler's Dad
8. DiamondReb
------------------------------
Bracket voting begins Monday with these matchups. Any DDDY research help would be much appreciated. With a pregnant wife, I haven't had the time to research the doucheness of some of these (DiamondReb, Jet Butler's Dad, especially). PM me.

Coach34 vs. DiamondReb
Fishwater vs. Mike Slive
Cecil Newton vs. Jet Butler's Dad
Pat Forde vs. Clay Travis

Douchebag Parents Conference foes matching up in the first round? Douchebag Journalists squaring off as well. A possible Coach34/Fishwater semifinal?

Now the question everyone has is: Where the hell is Cowbell9. It was thought he would be a solid 1 seed, maybe a 2. Well, Coach34 being in the same pool as Cowbell9 hurt his chances, and a tight Pool C (six votes between 1st and 3rd place) gave Pool C three bracket teams while Pool A only got one. It was considered to add Queen Mother's votes to CB9, but she did not get any votes.

Here are douches 9-15. All formidable douches. There are four in this group that I think could win it.

9. (tie) Cowbell9
9. (tie) Dee Bost
11. Rogers Redding
12. The guy who stole the t-shirt idea
13. Crunchy Mike
14. Don Jackson
15. Brutius

Brutius doesn't even have 1/100th of the douchiness as OEMdawg. Whoever wins this years title will be tainted because they didn't face the stiffest competition.

and of course I'll be campaigning for the Biggest Douche of Them All, aka DDDY2010 - Clay Travis. Come on, Clay! Your ****** *** deserves this ****!

He's a pretty strong douche, but is he the best of the best? His receiving a one seed may have kept Cowbell9 out of the bracket. Don't get me wrong, 34 is a douche, but everyone pumps him up as such, and he's really not that bad.

Cowbell9, Don Jackson, the t-shirt guy and Crunchy Mike is a hell of a NIT field. OEMDawg's lack of nomination will certainly go down as one of the biggest travesties in DDDY lore. The Stands.bury Six Pack Conference could have had three douches in the bracket.

I'm going with Clay Travis as the early favorite, even as a 6 seed. And Fishwater doesn't have a chance to beat Mike Slive.

I have no idea who a couple of these folks are: Clay Travis? Jet Butler and/or his dad? Not sure about Diamond Reb either.

Any supporting info is appreciated.

as well as a "Great Moments in Douche" feature that will highlight former DDDY winners.

DDDY fact: Only one #1 seed has ever gone on to win the title (Derek Dunn, 2007) but all #1 seeds (Brutius, 2008, Ron Polk, 2009) have made the final.

Thanks. I think this might be the single greatest idea in the history of message boards. Looking forward to the background info so that I can make informed decisions.

I'll try to dig up as many idiotic articles of Clay Travis that I can find.

A good example is when he recently threw out 12 names of SEC players that could win the Heisman this year and didn't think of Ryan Mallett until #11, and still found a way to sneak some random UT player in at #12. He even put Randall Cobb before Mallett

Think of a more radio/regional UT-fan, MSU-bashing-at-every-opportunity Skip Bayliss clone.

A lot of people are voting for C34 just to spite him, even though they know there are stronger douches out there.

maybe a couple of play-in games this year and then a full fledged 16 team bracket next year? (joking)

FWIW - I consider coach34 more of an ******* than a douche (I consider myself an ******* as well, probably why i don't like him). I agree that he is overseeded for this competition. If it was ******* of the year, there's no competition, he's the favorite every year from now until he dies (and maybe a few years after). As far as douchieness goes, he needs a little more conditioning (maybe some PEDs too) before he deserves that #1 seed. He is still a fairly strong contender though...definitely a perennial top 15.

I will try and come up strong for 2011. I'm sure I can find some gullible right wingers to take my liberal bait and get some more valid threads locked up.

I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any poster in the entire country post as hard as I will post the rest of the year. You will never see someone push the rest of the posters buttons as hard as I will push everybodys buttons the rest of the year.

You will never see a board more enraged over posts than this board will he enraged the rest of the season.

God Bless.

At the risk of getting the DDDY thread locked (which might increase my douche voting) I will just say that even the most fervent democrats understand there will be republican pickups in 2010. Off year elections are always bad for the party in charge. With that being said there is no way the house will fall, most current projections have it still a +30 or so. And the dems losing in 2010 are most likely too conservative demoublicans anyway.

The senate will move right by 5-7 seats but still be a small majority for dems.

2 more years of deadlocks and both sides blaming the other. Our political system is broken for the most part regardless of who gets in power.

This was more of a BDJ thing, but someone posted in a thread over there that they sat by/near him during the Alabama series and Jet's Dad was running his mouth about how "if any recruits called him that he would tell them how Cohen really is" or something to that effect. Now, why recruits would call Jet Butler's Dad, I have no idea.

But some background info since I've seen a couple of people mention that they didn't know the situation there.

No way this is a takeover a la '94. There will be major pickups and the coalition of Southern/moderate democrats could block things from going through.

He does seem to care about the basketball team, and I personally appreciate the way he busted Larry Templeton's balls for years. It was well deserved. The douchiness factor does however seem to creep in when he complains about us complaining about Coach Stansbury's shortcomings all while complaining about LT.

I have laughed out loud at my computer screen multiple times about coach34 busting his balls over being old. Those were really funny comments to me.

a repeat of 94 is indeed on its way. i heard just today that up to 130 congressional seats (up from an estimated 100 a few weeks ago) are "in play". The Senate will be at worst 51-49 Dems, but certain things could push it to 52-48 Reps.

you are right on another pointthough. the systemIS broken. Any system that is purported to be a "majority rule" and somehow allows a 30-35% minority rule the 60%+ majority is definitely broken. Most of the blame lies with the media on that account though. They try to portray the minority as the majority and some people are too lazy or stupid to figure out the truth.

We arent a 'majority rule' country. We are a represented country. We do not govern based on majority rule,at least in theory...and almost always in practice.

The majority doesnt get to do everything it wants just because it is the majority. That is what makes this place amazing...people are limited in their power to oppress others even though they may be in the majority.

I don't get how Mike Slive isn't being considered the front runner here. Not including the basketball 17 job because it was 2010. His non-comments after he apologized to every other SEC team with ref complaints says plenty to me. Not once, but twice last fall we were given a good dicking and nothing else was ever heard about it. 17 you, you arrogant piece of **** Slive. Keep slobbing the knob of your precious Alabama.

As far as Stansbury, I simply am old enough to have seen Kermit, Joe Dan, Hatfield, Boyd, and for that matter tricky Dickie Williams, who could have built a program but couldn't recruit a lick . I won't even go into LT, he should have never been an AD and he set us back decades. Coach 34 is a shoo in, he will never admit even once he is wrong on anyting and most of the time he is.
