Trilly is saying IU is offering $500,000 more than UK. Personally I’ll be highly pissed if we lose out on a kid that’s the difference between an elite 8 season and a national title season because we didn’t pay whatever it took to get him. We HAVE to get another guard who is a major scorer and good shooter. He’s that plus a good athlete. I thought this prior to the hoops summit game where Jasper looked horrible but believe it’s even more of a serious need now after seeing him play.

Pope wont be 1 guy short, if he doesn't get Wilkerson, he will get someone else.

I’m not touching the racial stuff…..BUT the coaching staff and what little roster IU has are all midwestern and northeast guys. Wilkerson is from the Texas/Arkansas border and is a southerner. That is an obvious cultural disconnect.

I really wouldn’t read anything into this like we maybe would for a normal recruitment. Before the visits started the agent was adamant they would take ALL the visits and then make a decision shortly after. I think that was the plan from jump and they are being professional and respectful.

Not necessarily. I think it’s going to come down to money and fit. If he feels fit at one school more versus the money offered etc.. I think it’s going to be UK. Close(enough)on money. Designated shooter and family close. That’s just me.
