I am sure that Pope has everything under control. He is not going to bring anyone into the program who isn't willing to do what the team needs to win. I suspect that is why Lewis is no longer with us. Pope has demonstrated that he has a plan and is willing to stick to it. It appears that Garrison got the message. He quickly realized that removing UK from all of his social media wasn't the best way to communicate with Pope. Garrison decided that he better make his announcement to stay before Pope signed his replacement.

Every horse I ever rode tried to kill me. One walked a fence row, trying to scrape me off. Another I rode visiting family in Lexington, walked under a tree limb and I landed on my back. Knocked the breath out of me.
Before anybody says anything, I had the reigns pulled hard right until both were looking over their shoulder.
I guess my point is, having me look at horses wouldn't inspire anything but PTSD in me.

Maybe "When you fall off a horse, you get back on" isn't for everyone.

Man I want this kid.

I just can't imagine wanting to go to Indiana, in year 1 of a full rebuild (without the kind of portal class that we got last year), and a program that hasn't been relevant in 30+ years and is coming off a missed NCAA tournament.

Vs. Kentucky, coming off a 3 seed and a sweet 16, returning plenty of talent and arguably the number 1 portal class in America, joining THAT team as their starting SG.

Bubble/NIT team (and playing for Adidas), vs. a Final Four/National Title contender (playing for Nike).

Choice has to be clear unless IU just offers him 2X-3X times the money.

Jesus, this board can be stupid sometimes.

You do realize a "ton" is a measurement of weight, right? Yes, of course it’s an exaggeration, it's a saying here in this country. I didn't think I would ever have to explain this to an adult, but here we are.

Seems several people woke up and put their silly "I'm going to look for reasons to argue today" pants on this morning.

Okay, let's put it this way, Otega Oweh missed a "plethora" of layups and chippies during the 2024/25 basketball season.

Christ.
Pretty sure you’ve been a major douche on this board for as long as I can remember. I’m thinking it’s been for a ton of years.

I don’t believe all he says
Per Sisk on locked thread:

“I don't normally post other Twitter posts on this thread, but I would listen to MeManBoy on his Lamar Wilkerson tweet. He has an inside source on this one. He said Wilkerson will not commit during any visit, but UK and IU both have a shot. He tweeted that Wilkerson's uncle it Kentucky Track and Field coach, Lonnie Greene.”

Sisk is referencing MeMaggBoy. The apocalypse is upon us.

Yea I don't like the fact that he'd be leaving without a commit. I don't trust his next visit which is Auburn.
It's either IU or UK. Auburn is only in play is they are paying way above the others and they would have already offered that.
I'd put the odds at like 70% IU, 29% UK, and Auburn has like a 1% chance.

Why do posters pretend to know what is going on? Not a single person saw yesterday's announcement before it was made yet people continue to act like they know. If nothing else, Pope has shown the basketball world that you won't know what he is doing until he wants you to know.

When shopping for the biggest offer, you have to kick the tires with all suitors. Won’t be at all surprised if there is no deal finalized on the visit… unless we make an offer that simply can’t be topped or refused.
