Just heard from a friend that "An Anonymous Coach" told "An Anonymous Officer of Rick's Rowdies" to take the high road on Saturday.

Sounds to me like the Rowdies are too scared to man up and actually be a real student section for the biggest game so far this season.

A chance to get into the head of a coach. Check.
An instate rival. Check.
An extremely embarrassing situation. Check.
A televised game. Check.

When else will there be such a perfect opportunity?

I weep for the future.

isn't Rick's Rowdies. Let the fatties take the high road, students should give AK hell.

He beat up a cab driver and his wife has publicly stated that she isn't getting any. You could not write a better script.

This is potentially better than banana peels being thrown onto the field after beating Clemson.

Great point. Screw the nerds. Hopefully the rest of the student section will take advantage of this... State fans didn't let me down during pillow gate so surely this case will be the same....

Even the band broke out Jailhouse Rock/Rock around the Clock and amedley of clock and pillow songs for that game.

The band should break out "You've lost that Loving Feeling" for this one. Maybe the Hump will erupt in song.

That's right. My brother and his roommates, none of whom are Rowdies, will be in attendance armed with blowups of the "Out on Bail" pic. This is assuming the jackasses at the door don't confiscate them.

and I'm sick of it.
Im done with supporting the idiots "in charge"

I beg of all students to make Andy Kennedys life hell on saturday, since there will be no organized effort from ... whatever John Sparks wants to call his resume padder group.
The group "Ricks Rowdies" is worthless and about nothing but a t-shirt.

But some of us students will continue to be rowdie and do whatever the hell we want.

For anyone who wants to see it..the message is below
-------------

Hey guys,

One of the basketball coaches (speaking on behalf of all of the coaching staff) talked to one of our Rowdies officers earlier today. He asked that we "take the high road" on Saturday when Ole Miss comes to the HUMP and that we not get too personal with our signs and chants.

The officer explained that there was not much we (the Rowdies officers) could do to prevent any sort of sign or cheer that happens at the game, short of sending a Facebook message.

He asked that we do that, so here it is.

Again, we cannot police anyone and will not tell people what they can and can't do at the HUMP. We'll just simply ask that you do your best to keep it as tame as possible.

That being said, get ready for Saturday and get ready to cheer our Dogs on to a victory! If you would like to discuss various ideas for cheering and signs at the game, check out the discussion board on the Rowdies group page.

Singing "You Lost That Loving Feeling" would be priceless! The entire school needs to sack up and play that **** over the PA system.

tear it, swipe an ID, and click their hand held ticket counter in less that a minute. They won't have time to look for AK mugshots....

.....However I agree with.......

Them MF'ers played chicken and cow sounds over their PA at the "Maxi Pad" a couple of times in the 90s. In addition, they had Jeff Foxworthly lead off that gay cheer of theirs with "you might be redneck....(if you are a State fan)" one year before the Egg Bowl in Oxford.

Play Jailhouse rock. You lost that loving feeling. Hell, invite the entire cast of Taxi and have them sit front row across from his bench.

I didn't see it discussed on here (probably because no one stayed for the end of the Egg Bowl like I did), but Ole Miss put "Many Happy Returns" on their Jumbotron after the trouncing. That's classless and childish. We should be the same way.

but his original point remains, they wouldn' t take the high road. Anyone else remember the barnyard sounds pumped into Tad Smith in the late 1990's?

i also remember colonel reb running through our band's halftime show at the 1998 egg bowl in oxford. i wanted so bad for a tuba player to form tackle him, but it didn't happen.

when it comes to this rivalry, screw sportsmanship. i want to beat them 100-0. and tell them about it. and kick them while they're down.

Yeah....one of those years I bought tickets from a scalper and had great seats amongst the Rebs. It really pissed one Reb off evidently as he felt the need to make comments in my direction the entire pregame. Anyway, when they played the barnyard sounds he was laughing and turns to me and ask if I drove my tractor to the game. I said, "yes, I had to drive a tractor to get across the pasture you call a campus and to this barn you call a coliseum."

by the cowdies. I fully expected lameness from that quarter. What I'm more interested in is the quality of the random sign/photo display. To me, the enjoyable stuff is more subtle than what you'd see coming out of the overly exuberant crowd.

...when they enter the Hump and polite MSU boys & girls should bring their players drinks during time-outs.

Anonymous thinks you should clap politely for the Rebels when they score a basket, all in the name of "good sportsmanship."

Anonymous thinks breast-feeding your rival instead of giving them hell is "the only civilized way a sporting event should be conducted."

Anonymous, in short, is a wuss...& an idiot.

Note to Bulldog Nation: It's time pull out all stops & make Andy Kennedy cry on TV like the little ***** he is.

Such a time is afoot.

I was there when he did that too. So I chunked my half-eaten foot-long corndog at him and nailed him in his big mascot head. I hope it left a mustard stain...

Anyway, I don't see what the big deal is. What does it matter what a bunch of dorks that never get laid do at a %!$*!$! basketball game anyway. I say let the "rowdies" do whatever the hell they want. Won't bother me.</p>

....Green Acres in the background while our players were being introduced. Then after each timeout barnyard sounds would be played for a second or two after the buzzer. Also, during baseball games our players intro music was always mooing or chicken sounds. I was always amazed OM officials could look the other way while the P.A. guys did stuff like that.

So personally, I hope there are handcuffed students dressed in orange jump suits throwing viagra on the floor while holding huge pictures of Kimber Kennedy with a limp schlong drawn by her face.

/but that's just me.

or lack thereof. Rick's Rowdies would not come up with anything creative anyway so let them politely clap throughout the game. I mean c'mon: Reading the newspaper when the other team is announced? My high school did that in 1986 (I'm not kidding). Jumping up and down like Duke? Painting jerseys on themselves? Yelling, "Airball"? They are the lamest student group I have ever seen -- and it seems much more so this year than in the past.

It doesn't take long for a rebel to come over and brag about how often he gets laid.
