Visited LSU over the weekend and they offered. He is a priority target for them and they are pushing hard to flip.

Just had an idea - RE: recruiting, NIL $$, etc...

NCAA needs to balance this crap out a bit. It goes a little something like this: If a player commits to a team, then any other team in the country CANNOT offer a scholarship for that player. How to enforce that? NCAA needs to put aside $$$ and offer a straight up "snitch" reward for teams that would cheat and offer anyway. If a player presents evidence that any team still offered them after they were committed, the NCAA would immediately pay out a lump sum "Snitch" reward to that player - and severely punish the offending college team that broke the rules.

Call it a $10 million dollar pay day. Nothing to sneeze at. How to fund it?? Yes, it would take a little bit of seed money to get it going but after it gets rolling, the offending schools would be fined severely and the paying of that fine to the NCAA fund would be part of any teams agreement to get back into the good graces of the NCAA.

Something has to be done. Currently, it's madness. I'm also aware LSU didn't do anything wrong under the current rules. If the NFL teams cannot "tamper" with other teams players (likely because they are paid professionals from a legal standpoint) - then it ought to apply to college kids as well. They're paid now.

WTH. He's already decommitted and re-committed once.
Kids these days don't know what the words mean.

They still can't find Clemson, SC on a map and they can't tell you what 'commitment' means. Many of them have no character or integrity whatsoever. Not all, but many.

If we had any self-respect, we'd call the kid up and retract his offer.

I know Dabo says some squirrely stuff, but I love that his position is "if you commit here, no visits elsewhere".

That only applies to 3 stars and low 4 stars for him. Their 5 stars always end up visiting other places and he never makes a peep about it. And as far as Duckworth goes, nobody seems to be worried about flip. Supposedly he was in contact with our staff the whole weekend at LSU and is coming back here this week to most likely shut down his recruitment.

Not sure that's accurate. In 2020, Clemson told #1 overall at the time Korey Foreman to take a hike b/c he wanted to take other official visits after committing to Clemson. Dabo held firm and Foreman decommitted.

We always discuss these 4 star QB's so much and so many that sign, transfer out.

Who was the last non transfer 4 star QB to impact us?

Sellers was a 3 star, Rattler was a transfer, I guess Jake Bentley was a 4 star.

But its always good to have one in the class and hope for the best, but I wont waste to much time in todays portal work worrying about if one really comes.

And LSU was the same school that this happened with Arden Key.
Serious question though, as a QB recruit (position of leadership and decisiveness), if he flipped again would you even want to continue recruiting him?

Especially a QB. That position is just different and honestly not the type of leadership needed.
But this is one aspect I do have full trust in Beamer to navigate

I sure would question his commitment to the program. But let's face it, with the transfer portal many players are just one step away from leaving at any time.
