From a Vol board:
<font size="2">"Tonight a caller reminded him Orgeron was partially responsible for the defeat because of the big talented defensive tackles he recruited to Ole Miss. Kiffin agreed, and said he reminded Orgeron of that and especially thanked him for '...helping McCluster pass all those internet classes so he could become eligible to play there.'"
</font>
If nothing else, Kiffin is entertaining. [And I like me some Layla].

That's Kiffin. He's found a way to claim victory in just about every defeat this year, and the UT fans are eating it up.

I'm pretty sure McCluster had his grades, but that was a nice little parting shot. Again just Kiffin being uninformed and spouting off at the mouth. Nothing to see here.

I have to assume he was either 18 or 19 at the time. So that would make him 22 or 23, maybe 24 at most right now if he was held back more than once and not just passed along.

You are correct though that he may come out this year. I guess it depends on what he feels like as far as his draft status is concerned. I think he's got potential to improve his stock if he comes back, but we'll see when the off-season rolls around. His age, as you suggest, may be the reason he needs to consider going soon. You only have so many years to make money playing football.

Peria Jerry was 24 in this past year's draft. If Powe leaves this year, he'll be 23 in the draft. Next year, he'd be 24 which is old for the draft but not ancient (see Chris Weinke).

that UM has doctored Powe's birth cert much like the Dominican baseball handlers. Nothing would surprise me with that situation.

Good luck reading the offense on the next level big guy.

It was common knowledge that Coach O told every kid who could breath he could get them in Ole Miss. He did it with Dexter,Lockett, the Jerry's,Trahan, Powe, Shaeffer,Oher,Rory Johnson,Hardy, and no telling how many more. However, if you take that group out of the Ole Miss lineup, they would not have a chance. He will do the same at Tenn.Student -Athlete is a joke at UM

I'm sorry, that is 17ing lame. Would you give a **** if Mullen recruited a bunch of dumbasses if they could play ball? I guess you were pissed after y'all beat Vandy because their players were smarter than yours.

Jerry went to Hargrave and qualified, that's not exactly shady, and I don't recall Hardy or McCluster having grade issues. Neither was that highly recruited in the first place anyway. Schaeffer was already in junior college, he just had to graduate from there. Don't think he did any BYU stuff or anything. Trahan was signed by Nutt, not Orgeron.

Even if he did, great. Hell, they got in, and stayed in, and are graduating, so I guess it worked. As if all the State players are brain surgeons.
