Langan had 3 of the biggest plays on offense today. The huge catch, the block on Vedral's rushing TD, and the block to control the edge on the first down run to end the game (O'neil had a massive block too).

That was absolutely huge!

That catch was unbelievable. The throw was right there, but so were the CB and safety and the hit was vicious. Big time catch.

Yup. Three big plays crucial to the win and doing all the little stuff right. He sets the standard.

Huge catgch. Impressive grab on out of bounds too.

Need to get him the ball is space so he can run over people like in qb package.
I would like to see more RPOs to Langan but he is usually blocking to help determine if it is a pull or give.

Let's not forget that other huge catch he had with the defender hanging onto him. Unfortunately the ball was long and he caught it as he was stepping out of bounds.
One handed tip back to himself, correct?

I said back during the Michigan game when he stopped Aiden Hutchinson dead in his tracks while playing TE. The TE's should be Haskins and Langan with Alaimo only seeing spot duty. We saw that today as he's also a tenacious blocker. No patty cake with him, sticks his head in and drives.

I don't want to dump on him, because I like him. He's got to improve his blocking consistency, now that he's a full-time Tight End. Coupla plays he barely put hands on his defender, who then made the tackle. Nice kid. Work on that consistency.

This is true

I remember one play as we were going left to right.
He was on the right side of the line, and he ran right past the defender lined up in front of him, and ran to the next level.
Defensive player blew up the play in the backfield. (I think it was Pacheco).

I saw way too many of our O linemen doing the same thing in recent games, but did not notice it today, so big improvement in that regard.

(Overall, Johnny Football was extremely valuable today.)

He has been playing well but sometimes misses plays like this.

Yes. Great catch and key blocks in the second half. But he also whiffed on some blocks in the first half.

Langan is a beast! Maybe the toughest player on the field and a true “team” player.

The announcers really like talking about Johnny Football. Don't forget he had a key block that allowed the QB touchdown run. He certainly makes RU football more interesting.

With Haskins, Alaimo, Konopka , Langan along with several others being developed we are getting to the point where TE can be a strength as it is with many other B1G programs. It will only make the rebuild go quicker.

Consistency will come with more playing time. He is still acclimating to the role. He is the epitome of toughness.

Langan can further develop as a better than average TE in the next 2 seasons.

I love this kid!
If they didn’t already call him by his great nickname (Johnny Football), I’d say we should call him Johnny New Jersey, because this kid is so damn NJ tough.

I blurt this out randomly when Langan is in. Wife thinks I’m a lunatic.
