Nashville not my first choice, but now that we have a winning season assured, losing the bowl game is not as big of a deal to me, and Iowa would be a very attractive game. I definitely would attend.

Would also add some storyline, since Stoops played for Iowa
Iowa's qb is from the Nashville area. His dad is a country music song writer.

Wadly and Daniels are their two running backs. They have to be close to 1000 yds each on the season. Bethard is a decent qb. He can scramble if things breakdown. I think their receivers struggle with getting separation.

King and Jewell lead the defense. I think it is Desmond King that turned down a high draft pick to come back for his senior year.

Kirk Ferentz is as vanilla as it gets. Always calm, chewing his gum on the sideline. Iowas offense is based around a solid o-line and running the ball. They will pass to their tight ends. They are content to play field position and do nothing more than dink and dunk.

Iowa will travel well to Nashville. It is about 8-9 HR drive from Iowa City.

I'm an alum of both schools, but will only be pulling for U.K. If it happens.

Is there an actual "pecking order" that the Bowls have on who gets to pick 1st and so on?

BBN is going to pack the house wherever. Looking for it to be at least 60% blue in whatever stadium we play.

After the last 6 years or so of looking like we may never get a taste of .500 or better bowl football again, and after looking like this program was going to really fall into the abyss with the way things were going early in the season, BBN is going to roll in deep and party.

I like the idea of playing a big 10 team. It's something we don't get to see very often as our OOC is typically 3 puffs and UL.

Would be great to follow up taking care of the ACC with putting some work in on the Big 10.

Nashville is 10X that city that Charlotte is. I've had a blast every bowl game that I have attended in Nashville.

Considering that the Music CIty Bowl has a pay-out of $2,750,000 compared to the Belk Bowl's $1,700,000 I would rather go to Nashville. Plus, when you consider that Nashville is within four hours driving time of 75% of Kentucky's population you got to think that that make's KY more attractive to the MCB selection committee.

Doesn't it just go in to a pool that is divided between schools anyway?

i'd put $100 on Iowa as our opponent as mentioned above. Coach Stoops being a player there seals the deal for me. His first bowl game will be against his alma mater.
CBS's Jerry Palm also has Iowa playing UK in the MCB so there must be something to this. However, I've spent some time going over the conference standings and I have Iowa going to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl. If I am right that would mean we'd most likely play either Minnesota, North Carolina or Pittsburgh. I think a UK/ Pittsburgh match-up would make for an interesting storyline with Stoops and Narduzzi both from Youngstown and having played for crosstown rivals, Stoops at Cardinal Mooney and Narduzzi at Ursuline.

Iowa seems to think they are going to the Holiday bowl. We would then get IU or Minnesota.

Iowa is probably better but beating Michigan and that pitiful offense and QB play. I mean we watched OSU and Mich. like we were watching Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers of the 70's.
I mean both those teams had great defenses but Mich. offense was not very good, sorry QB play.
I would be more concerned with playing IU with an explosive offense than Iowa.
Not impressed with the Big Ten again, SEC is way down but OSU is not very good and should have lost to Wisky, lost to a pedestrian Penn St. should have and could have lost to Mich St. and Mich.

Coincidentally, Sagarin has UK (7-5) and IU (6-6) just a few spots apart. On paper a close matchup.

UK needs to lobby hard for the Gator. Reason is playing in Fla at a time when you're attempting to expand your recruiting in the state. Gator please.

I live in Nashville and don't want to go to this. Rather be in Jacksonville. Think most UK have a lot of Nashville overload, SEC Tourney and MCB. Just don't think UK will bring a big crowd ala Clemson, FSU etc.. Hope I am wrong.

The people who can drive than I am all for it, MTN Cat with some health issues, I hope for him that it is easy drive so either way I am good.
I think beating Louisville in the manner we did, reinvigorated a portion of the fan base enough that I think there will be an uptick in Bowl ticket sales versus what we would have seen had we lost. Having an offensive performance come together like that bodes well for the future and I think fans will respond by showing up to the bowl, especially since it's a 2:30 game that essentially could be a day trip for a good majority of fans.

I'll do any of them, gladly.

But if it turns out to be the MCB, you can guarantee that Cat fans from Fulton in the West, to Glasgow will let out a howl, and cramp I-65 South to the max.

Seriously, we will haul 50K to the MCB, although for many reasons, I'd like to see us in Gator/TaxSlayer.

I live up the road in Springfield and if this is the case I'll be there. I think you're underestimating the excitement and momentum from the win Saturday.

Trying to take my blue tinted glasses off, but I'm hopeful that some of these bowls are taking into account the fact that UK is one of the only SEC programs excited about how their season played out. That's not to mention that UK will likely result in a very entertaining game due to their potent offense and a defense that is likely to give up a lot of points.

Look around at the bowl eligible teams outside of Bama. A majority of them are viewing their season the same way that we'd view making the NCAA tournament as a 6 seed. Hell, UT fans are ready to fire Jones after their latest debacle. UGA just face-planted as did Arkansas and A&M.

So, I wonder how much the bowls value name recognition over attendance because I think UK would send a massive number of fans to any of the bowls within that pool of six. I honestly don't believe the same can be said for most of the others.

We are not going to the effing birmingham bowl. Why would he even put us on that list? It's clearly either Music City, Belk, and Liberty as the floor for us now.

How sweet would it be to be able to leap over UT or Georgia for a Florida bowl? Does a 2 game winning streak to end the season matter? How is Auburn still considered for a Jan 1 bowl?

Considering the recruits are in Florida I would rather play Miami Fla in the Belk Bowl, and try to land a few this year.
