2 things.
#1. You know damn well if they approached them before the series and said you are not getting paid, and you will not end up going pro, do you want to be a part of this show and have 15 minutes of fame they’d all say hell yeah.
#2. If you wanted to be wealthy, maybe work harder as a 4/5 star recruit to get to the NfL. Or at least don’t punch a girl in a bar.
The players spent too much time in class mastering a variety of subjects and didn't have enough time to carefully assess the possible financial benefits of being in a Netflix series.
I would love to see a copy of the complaint. Most of their possible claims have to be time barred.
And the show was filmed in the pre-NIL days, when players basically signed away their publicity rights when they accepted their scholarship. They couldn't get paid.
This going backwards on Image and Likeness precedent made this unbearable. There should have been a line in the sand that said "this is legal now, this wasnt legal then"
