Late Season Fade

Looking like another late season whimper for basketball.

2 years ago, we went 2-2 in our last 4 regular season games. Took OT to beat a FL team who had a losing record in the SEC tourney before getting destroyed by Bama. Then lose the play-in game to Pitt.

Last year, we go 0-4 in last 4 games. We do pickup a nice SEC tourney win over UT. Then get embarrassed by an average Mich State team in a game we weren’t competitive in.

This year, at best we’re 1-3 in our past 4 with a chance to make it 1-4 if we can’t pull the upset at Arkansas. I think we all expect another whimper in the tournament once we get there, regardless of the seed. Just a very flawed team. Hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see it happening for this group.

At least we are consistent. I like how we miss a layup to lose against Bama. That takes a lot of pride to keep losing when you could play well to win.

I mean is it really a fade when you’ve never really had it together in SEC play? We had a losing home conference record and are 6-9 since the Vandy game.

Maybe we just weren’t that good.
We’re definitely not good that’s for sure. Once again Jans fails to go get shooters, 3 years in a row. Of course with his offensive style can’t say I blame them for not coming here

Late season fade? More like 2 month fade. We’re 6-9 in the last 15 games. That’s just not good enough.
Fair to a degree, but the worst two losses in SEC play are in our past 4 games. All other losses in the 15 game stretch you reference are to top 20 teams. The third loss in this stretch was by 100 to Bama where we no-showed. Shoot, we even struggled with LSU at home until late.
