I like the MONSTAR nickname. But I like Mt. Zion better. Although, David Banner/Incredible Hulk may be more appropriate after he pulled a David Banner/Hulk last night and blew his shoe out (with the assist going to Nike for a crappy pair of shoes)

That’s a HIPAA violation, you can’t ask that! ;) (Seriously joking, just trying bring some levity to the day)

I’d guess this afternoon something will be addressed. Im sure no news will be released until he sees the specialists and the family is consulted.

he also updated his cover photo to a pic of Zion in a Duke uniform and in the comments someone asked "is he alright" and he replied "yeah"

Zion seems to have a really good support system around him. From family to friends seems like he has gather a good group of people to lift him up.

Hearing the story how when he picked up his 4th foul against UofL and went to the bench. How he felt deflated and then heard his mom from behind bench tell him to not sweat it, go out there and make them pay. Then of course he dominates the last 10minutes of the game allowing cam to do cam things...

Get well Zion, let the Legend of Mt.Zion aka Monstar continue to grow to new heights.

Uneducated guess is that he’ll want to come back for UNC 2. Whether or not K does that is the other part. He might see this as a way to fix some ills the team has been suffering from that Zion covers up.

I’d say we get the “out indefinitely” answer soon.

Would be huge news for everyone’s morale to get news that he will be back. Hope the guys like AOC and Jack can take advantage of the time to get better

It’s really great news! He’s the most refreshing player in terms of attitude and love of the game that’s come through college basketball and or Duke in a long long time....and he’s pretty talented and fun to watch too!

When Zion first got injured I wondered if it might be a hamstring injury because he grabbed the back of his leg just above his knee

Winning at Syracuse and Virginia Tech will difficult without Zion, but he certainly needs to take all the time it takes to fully recover. It would be kind of nice if he could play against Miami or Wake - to at least get in one final game at Cameron.

Solid reasoning. If it is possible. K sees things in practice we don't see. If there isn't a fix, what do we do?

Adapt with having Barrett, Reddish, and Jones become the new 3 headed scoring punch would be my guess while starting Bolden and DeLaurier down low

I don’t agree with this...he is not the best 3pt shooter but he’s actually pretty strong mid range IMO....was just last night he was off on everything....it happens....

It’s been nearly 24 hours and Duke hasn’t released a peep. I’m feeling excited, but nervous...

Excited: Hard to imagine that if something was wrong it wouldn’t be released by now. Has me thinking they’re getting multiple opinions on it from different medical personnels just to be 100% sure he isn’t at risk of further injury.

Nervous: If he’s ok or it’s very mild, he’s contemplating the decision on sitting himself the rest of the season and statements aren’t being released until he makes that decision.

I don’t see scenario B. This group is closer than any group I can remember of recent memory. I can’t see him sitting and watching his brothers go to war without him. I just can’t.

U know how Duke is with injuries. They always keep everyone in the dark for awhile.

I completely agree, I don’t see it either. Just judging his character and personality, I’d be shocked if he left his brothers hanging.

But when you have all the NBA greats voicing their opinions, you never know what might get drilled into his head.
