Wonder what segment/products the carrier focuses on moving.
He chose a hell of an industry to get into with no experience or knowledge.

Really cool that he has been in business for 5 years as the last 5 years of over the road transportation has been as volatile as brick and mortar retail.
If his company has survived and stayed stable in that time, something is going well.

Just looked at his company profile and looks like he just runs a couple of trucks mostly with a flatbed. You can make good money with a flatbed coming out of the port of Houston.

For sure.
I've been in transportation for 15 years- there is definitely $ to be made. It's also a volatile industry where thousands of businesses shut down during any significant volatility. The market is almost never in balance and smaller companies(like his) that cant benefit from scale are often hit the hardest.
