Since the loss of CJ has left us with one LB committ, McKinney from Tunica, I got curious about who will play next year.

Returning contributors:
C Lawrence (Junior)
C Holmes (Soph?)
C Harrison-Gay (Soph) (think already playing on line)
D Skinner (Soph)
M Hunt (Junior)
J Jones (Senior)

Redshirts:
F Bohanna (RS Fresh)
C Hughes (RS Fresh)

Committs:
B McKinney

I guess we will have to see someone like McCardell or Wells beef up and play LB? Go Juco route, which in the past has been alright for us. Who do yall think will start? I say Skinner, Hunt, & Lawrence.

I think it's going to be a constant rotation, especially in our easy nonconference games so we can see who gives us the best chance the rest of the season. Ihope Skinner gets a shot at MLB, but initially it will probably be Hunt. I think to start the season it will be Lawrence, Hunt, and Hughes, but by the end of the season, I would love to see Bohanna, Skinner, and Hughes. That an LB crew that has a lot of future potential to be great.

Christian Holmes redshirted.

Going into the spring it will look like this:

MLB: Brandon Wilson, Bohanna
SAM: Chris Hughes, Cam Lawrence
WILL: Mike Hunt, Skinner</p>

That sounds ridiculous.

Even if he did come to state, I hope to hell he wouldn't be starting. We must be in absolute shambles at LB if that would be the case. No way a true-freshman is in any way physically or mentally able to handle that, especially since he was not going to come in until the summer.

Shirley, we have some "serviceable" guys that would be better than CJ would have been next year.

I never really watched him very closely, but the reason I ask is I had a friend (extremely casual MSU fan) mention him after watching the GatorBowl on TV. He said something to the effect "who is number 10? He is making plays all over the field." I can't remember anything very memorable that Lawrence did in that game but i took that comment to mean that he had a pretty good game.

Fill me in as to how terrible he is?

BTW, Lawrence's hair is absurdly ghey.

is either going to be a walk-on or a redshirt freshmen. So yes, we were hoping CJ could start immediately. Rolando McLain did it at Alabama. I don't think CJ is as good a McLain, but he is very talented.

Would help cover inadequacies at LB, but I don't think we have 2 MLBs for that system. I think we'll be okay at OLB. Someone needs to step up and be a playmaker though.

And I say that partly because there are several other players on the team that are supposedly bigger stronger and faster than he is, but he was the one playing in the games. So I think his criticism is somewhat unfounded. Let's see him as a Jr. when he's had two years under his belt.

So he must have some speed...and he's 6'3" 245....I have a feeling starting in the spring we'll be hearing his name a lot more. He got washed out by two NFL draft picks as a RsFr

Yes, Lawrence made backto back tackles in the GatorBowl on opposite sides of the field for minimal gains. I don't knowhow fast he is, buthe was in the flatts before theWRcould get down field.

Also, the hair is gone now. So I hope his ability isn't tied up in his hair like Samson.

certainly could have used a redshirt year. I also wish we had redshirted Chris Smith as well.
