Leach's best win

I think this win is Leach's best win so far. @LSU was against a higher ranked team, but some might call it a bit of a fluke. Week 1, bad defensive scheme for LSU, KJ's only good game (by a lot, like SEC record good), and didn't look anything like Week 1 the rest of the season. I don't consider it a fluke. If you win the game you deserve credit for the win. But tonight was Week 5 on the road against a talented SEC West team. And we won because we were the better team. Yes, A&M would be better with a healthy QB room, but this was a solid win coming off of two disappointing losses. Would have been easy to pack in the next two games and get ready for Vandy.

I said before the game that if we minimize mistakes (0 turnovers), we were very capable of winning. I feel that way for every game minus Alabama. We could be 5-0. We should be at least 4-1. Back on track for 6-6 or 7-5.

I agree with this being Leach's best win. Playing against the 3 man front directing 3 75 yard drives against a very good defense ON THE ROAD after TAM had lost at Arky. They were top 5 in the country against the pass! We sure changed that.

How long before Dan ever got this quality of win here? It was a bunch of seasons….

That’s just what Leach is going to be. Like Jackie before, no team is safe from us, and we are certainly never safe from anyone else.

He beat OM that went to the Cotton Bowl in year 1. Won at Florida in Year 2. TAMU isnt going to a big bowl. Great win but they are mediocre at best.

NC State is now ranked so, for the moment, we have beaten 2 ranked teams.

If our name was Clemson or Ohio state, we would be an undeserved top 20.

Agree. We had a missed sack on their QB scramble for the TD. I believe there was some luck on another one of their big time plays or TD in the game too. We also missed FGs. We could have easily blown them out. They gashed us a couple of times, but other than that A&M got dominated.

Jimbo has also been at A&M for several years, recruited highly rated QBs and this QB has been in the program for a few years. That's on Jimbo for not having a serviceable QB developed.
