No one says we have to win it, but we have the same number of sports as several SEC teams including Ole Miss, who has over double the points we have.

It's mostly the sucking. This has been one of the worst years for Mississippi State sports since the 1980s.

Just glancing at these rankings in past years, it looks like State has been lagging behind for a while. Dating back to when Greg Byrne took over in 2008, State has never ranked better than 11th in the SEC, and even then that was for just one season. Every other year State has been in the bottom two or three in the conference:
