to have a run-in with a dumb State fan before 7am in a hospital in another state....

Wearing a State t-shirt today awaiting the birth of Little Peach, and come across a hospital worker here at the hospital. He proceeds to start a conversation with me about athletics, and I quote- "I really wonder about the leadership of our school. Getting rid of Templeton and then Croom is just a bad sign"....

Being on hopped up on mountain dew, i responded- "I dont have time today to talk to stupid 17'ing people that think that firing Crooms was a bad decision. Good luck in life to you Sir"...and walked off....

Do any of you actually come across people that say those types of things? Blows my mind

Most rational people, awaiting the birth of their child would have simply replied "You don't say", and let it be that.

They probably wouldn't have gotten on here to brag about it either, on the same day said child is being born.

But hey, your internet cred just went up tremendously. Seriously. I'm paralyzed by the awesomeness.

Edit to add:

My recommendation is that you put the phone/laptop down, and become fully immersed in what will be one of the greatest and most proud moments of your life. I was being a dick to you earlier, but seriously, let it go for now. You'll be much better off.

who thought getting rid of Templeton was a bad decision. Have not run into one that thinks Croom shouldn't have been let go.

on genespage a number of years ago that posted everything leading up to the birth of his baby. He even posted "On our way to the hospital" and we were thinking shouldn't the last thing on your mind be to update the internet crowd and to concentrate on your wife and child.

Drinking Mt Dew is what makes you an ***? Man, i figured it was just your personality. But if changing your personality is as simple as just not being hopped up on Appalachia Juice, just dont drink it.
Seriously.

You are at the hospital awaiting the biggest change of your life and you go off on some random hospital worker over MSU athletics? Come on, id figure even you would have more perspective than that.

Somehow you actually managed to drop a rung...i didnt think it was possible, but apparently you hadnt yet hit bottom.

piss off more health care professionals trying to render aid to yo mama baby. That's gotta be a smart thing, don't you think? Maybe you could go take a piss on the desk of the clinic's financial advisor before realizing you need her to approve your payment schedule.

I'm assumng that based on the fact that cowbell announced you would be there at 4AM this morning.

If so, you may need to recalculate that time table.

Regardless, lower back massages and ice chips.

Also, keep this link in mind. It's goofy as hell, but I'm still going to get it framed (well, put in a Wal-Mart frame).

that guy was at least posting about his baby. Coach wants to brag about saying F-you to another State fan, while waiting on the birth. That's weird.

you overanalyzing my post. I am just amazed at the stupidity of some people. I didnt think there was anybody supporting maroon and white that thought firing Crooms was a mistake. I have some time to kill, and thought I'd share. It's very simple

I have a theorem [I'm using theorem instead of theory as it involves simple mathematics]:

The Shmuley Asshattery Theorem: As the distance that an MState fan's permanent residence away from Starkvegas increases, the level of said fan's potential dumbassedry about the shittiness of MState athletics/coaches/administration increases exponentially.

Disclaimer: Nothing contained within this post shall be construed in any manner as an assumption that Peaches is telling the truth; rather the author suggests that the alleged referenced encounter is a complete fabrication existing within the spacious confines between Peach's ears.

I don't think that play by play was for the birth. As I recall, that child had some birth defects or was just sick in general, and was very ill when we got the "on the way to the hospital" post.
Then of course, his dad got free club level tickets because he wanted to take his lucky to be alive son to a football game in the beginning of the season, but didn't want to sit in the hundred degree heat.

about how "they've had some financial problems lately, so I'm going to have to cancel my subscription. I'm still a Bulldog/Rebel till I die, though. Hopefully, I'll be back sooner rather than later."

Then, what do you know, somebody pays for them to get a subscription and then "I can't tell you how much this means to me. I've got tears in my eyes right now thinking about it. This is why Ole Miss/MSU has the greatest fans in the world. God Bless!"

So while waiting on the birth of your child you found the time to tell an MSU fan that he was a stupid f*uck, and then, under the guise of asking the board if we ever come across people who have different opinions than us, you ran back here to report it and hope for a few verbal pats on the back?

Good God, man.....

You will feel like you are in jail waiting to go home in two days. Make-up any excuse to leave for a few hours, trust me... Get a good drink, you will need it...

At least your hospital has internet service...

Enjoy & Congrats...

How about this, I don't want my (currently 6 weeks, will be) 5 month old daughter (or my fat ***) in the hundred degree heat either. Can anyone hook us, and my wife, and my beer drinking buddy and his wife and daughter up with some club level seats? I'll trade you my 6 in section F.

Oh wait. Wrong board. The folks on Gene's Page are better christians that you people.

believes that getting rid Templeton and Croom was a bad idea. Your tone and use of the F bomb may have been more suited for a tailgate activity rather than preceding this blessed event but in the recesses of the mind harboring all the years of blatant athletic ineptitude and decision making, I can understand how a comment like that could cause a man to snap. Congratulations on #3.

But that's what I absolutely hate about working in a hospital; if it's not a smart-*** doctor you're dealing with, it's the smart-*** family member of a patient. Now, I can understand when someone is within the orbit of death, but this?
