He is doing his job, but the interesting thing to me is that whoever his Ole Miss equivalent is, if that guy who covers OM sports started digging around about recruiting with respect to payoffs, strippers, booze, Klan rallies, whatever, he would be told by someone (do I hear a black helicopter?) to "leave it alone" and it would go away more quickly. Props to KV for boosting his hit count or newsworthiness, or whatever. I don't envy him having to walk a fine line between reporting information and needing to stay in the good graces of the MSU athletic administration to continue receiving information.
