How about investing in a copy machine with a paper backup?

Of course not... people today are too lazy to even count anymore.

Trust the machines and computers to do it. What can go wrong?
Might want some facts before opening your piehole.

Georgia went to new machines that prints out a paper backup copy. It is these machines that were part of the problem yesterday.

Another cause for the length of time it took to vote yesterday which also leads to the other factors, the ballot was very long. In addition to voting for candidates, in my county and it was similar throughout, there were 10 ballot initiatives to vote on. Each one was long and some were very difficult for many people to read and understand what they were voting on. Hell, I voted at my kitchen table in April and it took me a good 30 minutes to make it through the ballot. The rest of the country won't hear much about this fact as the blame game keeps being thrown around loosely in order for political parties position themselves to blame the other side.

Exactly. Fact 1: machines are the problem. When they go down and you don't have a backup plan... well... there you have it.

Fact 2: Machines can also be corrupted, intentionally and unintentionally. Machines can fail. Happens all the time. Yet the people in Georgia haven't gotten the (error) message yet.

Here is another fact for you to consider. People need to use some common sense. Has served this country well for over 200 years now.

So, what you are basically saying is people are too dumb to know for what they are/aren't voting?

30 minutes to read a ballot. People complaining about long lines, not understanding what is being asked, broken machines, no backup plans, and all of the blame goes on unidentified government workers who didn't receive or follow training protocols.

I once thought literacy tests were discriminatory just against African Americans. Now, I'm not so sure they shouldn't be used for everyone.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James spoke his mind after seeing long lines and delays in Georgia as residents attempted to vote in the state's political primary.

James shared a tweet that said predominantly white polling sites in the Atlanta suburbs had shorter lines, but on the other side of town, they “had to bring stadium chairs.”

James shared his opinion about the lines.

"Everyone talking about 'how do we fix this?' They say 'go out and vote?' What about asking if how we vote is also structurally racist?" James wrote.
structurally racist? Ha! Affirmative action is structurally racist. Standing in line with whites, Latinos, Asians, and the mixture of all the rest to use their freedom to vote is not racist. But whatever!
