Almost every game, college or pro, has the crowd noise mix too high. I can't hear the announcers. A lot of the announcers speak nonsense, but I least need to hear what is being discussed about penalties.

I agree with this. Some networks are worse than others.

I watched the penn state game from the back of the neighbors yard, over a fence, through a patio, through a sliding door and into a man-cave on a huge screen t.v. It was easy to know what is going on based on body language, without any sound. Even when I watch a game, I never listen to the announcers as they are trash. In fact, if you look hard enough you can find a skycam version of some ABC games that just use the over field cam, without any announcers. This is by far the best view.
