Now that his career is over, how was his on the field performance in your eyes?

I will say slightly underwhelming. He had a promising start to his career, but really looked soft this year and cost himself NFL money. I was expecting more of fast, disruptive, hard-hitting LB after seeing his HS film.

Chatter is he was really concerned about getting injured and costing himself a NFL career. Obviously he had a lot going on off the field, and I think the majority of his performance issues was between the ears.

As for the NCAA stuff, he was caught squarely in the middle of all the OM mess and I kind of felt bad for him. His name was drug through the mud by all the OM mouthpieces. All he could do is cooperate with the NCAA, which is what he did. He wasn’t rogue and didn’t go out of his way to take down OM, despite all the ******** lies they spread.

Can't cover, poor instincts, can't shed blocks or avoid them, made numerous dumb penalties. Other than that, he was okay.

Nothing special. I agree with the average comment. I expected more from him on the field
