I'm wondering if Miles approached Mullen and discussed alleged transgressions PRIOR to going and telling mama. If he did and got no satisfaction, then going and telling mama was ok if that's the way he felt. On the other hand, if he completely bypassed Mullen in the process....then I'm calling chicken **** on him...talkin' mano to mano.

I've been wondering this as well. Also hasn't it been Slive's style to encourage our SEC members to not turn each other in for things? We now have a lot of other coaches taking notice and I would bet there will be further tapes sent in this season for player actions on the field.

If Miles didn't contact Dan first to see if it was going to handled internally, then he just started something unnecessarily.

It's possible (probable?) that he went straight to the top to intentionally attempt to embarrass and discredit State, a team that had completely dismantled his and one for which he, his corching staff and his players had no answers, to divert attention away from what really happened and what matters. He was embarrassed so he had to scrounge around to find something to whine about. The thought of discussing it with Dan probably crossed his mind, and then he dismissed it immediately in favor of rallying his fan base.
