LSU pulled an Ole Miss here

Difference is they are getting away with it.

Blame all their problems on Les Miles like OM tried to do with Houston Nutt.

Makes the KU AD look bad.

Les Miles is guilty and never should have been hired.

Will Long go after Bobby Petrino and pretend nothing happened at Arkansas?

Mike DeBord, who was hired last month as Kansas' offensive coordinator, will serve as the program's acting head coach until an interim head coach is determined.

Debord will probably be named HC (IMO). But really who in their right mind would want to coach Kansas football?

Billy Napier should be their home run hire
If not go after Jeff Traylor.

Jeff Traylor played a huge role in helping Arkansas get off the mat. Excellent evaluator.

They played a lot of young players this year. The rebuild had already started.
Just needs someone to continue it.

The plan they had of recruiting the scraps in TX and LA should continue.

I think you have to go young if you are Kansas. Try to find a young offensive guru and then bring in some older veteran position coaches to help balance things out.

They are going to see what Emmett Jones can do.
He has connections to all the big high schools in Dallas.
Reason why he was named interim coach.

He actually was a WR coach a lot of schools wanted but they gave him a huge raise.

We will see.
Miles did what he was suppose to do.
So I wouldn't call Miles a failure because KU's objectives were different than a school like WVU.

Continuing that development is the key. Plus evaluating to projectct players and for need.

Jones has zero experience.
Only HC experience he has is coaching SOC in Dallas at the high school level.
I don't know if he can handle everything. Could be rough.

We will see in the next 2 years.

His job was to stabilize the program and build a foundation.

We will see if they are still trying to build the foundation in two years.

Foundation of what? They have nothing. Who knows how many hit the portal.

2020 - 0-9 (0-8)
2019 - 3-9 (1-8)
2018 - 3-9 (1-8)
2017 - 1-11 (0-9)
2016 - 2-10 (1-8)
2015 - 0-12 (0-9)
2014 - 3-9 (1-8)
2013 - 3-9 (1-8)
2012 - 1-11 (0-9)

2005-2008 was last time they had winning record 2009 was last time they won more than 3 games.

2008 was last time they won more than 1 game in conference. (4-4)

Hell of a foundation built on wet sand.
6-93 in conference from 2010-2020

That is the point...

If they are able to change that it will be because Les Miles was building a foundation

That foundation was starting a lot of RS freshman and freshman last year.

If they are still going 1-8 or 0-9 in the Big 12 in 2022 Les Miles was a failure

The athletic department at KU needs to give their coach more than 3 freaking years. The guy needs no less than 8.
