told him this week. Addidas will be the new provider, we will use an updated version of the Mstate logo, but we could use the interlocking one if we wanted.

Also, an update on the Ellis Johnson deal. This guy texted back and said Ellis hates Spurrier and he wants out. I just don't buy that at all.

They do NOT own any other interlocking MSU logos. I'm too busy right now to link it, but I did verify several months ago that MSU does still own the MSU logo we used during the Felker era (the MSJ). There's nothing in the world stopping us from creating a new interlocking MSU logo that's different enough from the one Nike owns to be legal and using it.

They either negotiated or snuck in the clause that gave them the rights to the logo for a reason. It's basically a hostage to keep us from going to one of their competitors. They're not going to give that hostage up if we don't go back in their fold.

the one everyone wants again is the interlocking one, but as azzurri noted, byrne has addressed this---Nike owns it.

It seems like we could easily come up with another similar design.
