at least we still have our coach and he didnt go to Florida. This week could have been alot worse.

This whole process reminds me of the Scotty Hopson saga. Supposed to sign with MState . All of the sudden, big money gets involved with other conference foes with bigger pockets, and we cannot hang . Yes, its dissapointing, but god, I cannot wait until Auburn comes to Starkville next year. As Dan Mullen puts it ...THIS IS GONNA BE EXCITING .

If our QB roster was Tyson Lee, Michael Henig, and Ty Evans, then a message board meltdown would be quite warranted.

Relf, Russell, and Stegall have a year in the system, a spring on the way, and a much better receiving core and OL in front and to the sides of them. And no Crxxm is to be found. So, again, what meltdown?

but we have the talent to be just fine next year and now our freshman phenom has the chance to take this progam and make it his for 4 years.

Dissapointed ? sure. Not enough to melt down over.

Hail State. I'm pretty pissed about this, but at the same time we have a lot to look forward to in 2010. Hell, as long as we keep winning egg-bowls I'm solid.

John Bond took it for almost four years...came in about the second or third game of his fresman year and never looked back and never lost the job...AND beat that LSU *** four years in a row....only QB to ever do that, I imagine.

The thing that will help us is getting at least one loss of the non conference schedule by getting rid of Georgia Tech. I think we can take Houston next year, so that could help us pick up another win. If Russell does win the job, the nonconference schedule will be very favorable for him. The SEC road schedule is brutal, but we get some manageable games at home. We got 5 wins out of a QB that really didn't do much but manage the game for Dixon. If Russell can throw the ball at all, we can get 6 wins out of next year.</p>
