Schools are another issue. Most school age kids cannot even get the vaccination yet. They definitely need to mask up, or they will all be virtual in a matter of months.

For a virus with a 99.999% survival rate among those age 0-17? If that's the case, then we should never have in-person learning ever again.

I’ve gone to work throughout this whole ordeal, thankfully. I have what you call a very specific skill set and am deemed “essential”*.

Health care professional here. Was shut down for non-essential situations except emergences for 5 weeks during april/may. Out of 25 days days had to go to office 17 days out of the 25-30 days off.
Work since then full time except when our entire office was diagnosed with covid at same time in December(that was a good thing).
We all survived...One got really sick and had the Regeneron infusion (it really works-she got better in 3 days-and she was about to go to hospital with respiratory complications)
Regeneron infusion should be available to everyone with any symptoms from covid.
I had the infusion due to comorbidities as being more susceptible to blood clots post covid-Old and in the way and history of by-pass and HBP. (As people have read a young man from Meridian died of heart attack post covid blood clots-as the BBQ person from Tupelo.)
Have had vaccine and will keep seeing patients until told can't.

I’m a stay at home dad now and wouldn’t change it for anything else. I got tired of work and blazed new trails last year. My hair has changed colors the longer it has grown. We had a situation last week where I had comb my hair for a dinner and that was only the second time I have combed my hair this year. I sit on the back porch with a fan going. Box fan in my face and overhead to updraft the vapors. Too hot to do any yard work but I have a squirt bottle I walk around with spraying weeds. I find new ones every day so it never gets old. I stopped spraying for bugs because after close observation the spiders are more effective and I was killing both. The garage looks like a halloween set. It’s definitely cut down of flying insects getting in the house because they don’t shut doors. I drink lots of water and green tea, so I piss at least 3x an hour. I couldn’t do that at the office because people would think I was sniffing blow in the bathroom. Naw man I swear it’s the green tea. I used to workout at a gym but covid messed that up. However, that worked out for the better. Got some extra plates, bars but got back to pull-ups. Screw a pull down bar. Would you believe the Iron Gym is still rocking and the foam hasn’t become brittle! Besides it being torn in spots they don’t make foam like that anymore. I can’t nap anymore in the daytime. I remember the days of snoozing during a lunch break at the office but those days are over. Other than the spiders I have gotten into watching birds more and found out tractor supply house blend seed is not well received. Not sure why. But one thing has me confused, the hummingbirds are very spotty this year.

I'm spending the entire summer as Mr Mom myself. Two boys and we are having a blast half the time and I am whooping asses the other half of the time. Went on a 3 mile hike today and getting some kayaks this weekend and giving that a go. School doesn't start until September 1st, so we will keep it up for a few more weeks.

I'm spending the entire summer as Mr Mom myself. Two boys and we are having a blast half the time and I am whooping asses the other half of the time. Went on a 3 mile hike today and getting some kayaks this weekend and giving that a go. School doesn't start until September 1st, so we will keep it up for a few more weeks.

Buying a kayak myself next week also and looking forward to it. I have been all over the coast this week looking. The board can look forward to my OT: kayak experts needed thread soon because I have many questions.

The primal evolution of time spent spiritually bonding, molding and physically interacting with a family group, especially kids, has been taken away by powerful necessities and obligations. It’s a cycle men have been in for a long time. The scale is tipping. Times are changing. Things are really moving rapidly. We both know this, along with the others, because those hikes and water slides on Wednesday’s aren’t meant to happen.

Birdseed is not all the same, my friend. The garbage co-op birdseed I bought in bulk almost rotted in the feeder before they ate half of it. The Ace is gone in no time and attracts many different species other brands won't draw.
I know the pack is facinated by this. **
