Stoops will be here at least one more year. It appears as though Dawson will be as well. So what can be done to fix this thing or at least give us some hope? Schlarman has to go. That is number one on the list. Get Schlarman out of here. Next we need to hire a special teams coach? Bring back Peveto? He should be available. I can't see stoops getting rid of Elliott so that's off the table as well. Do we need a new wr coach? I say yes. So..

1. Fire Schlarman and hire a proven oline coach that can develop players.
2. Hire a special teams coach.
3. Fire the wr coach and hire someone who can develop wrs.

who cares? if you watch next year, you are part of the problem.
I'll watch every year until I'm dead. Kentucky is my team. I don't think Stoops will turn it around but this is still my team. I'm sorry you can only watch when a team is winning. Fickle.

Don't care really. Won't watch any game next year. I'm done with giving this staff any benefit of the doubt.

I'll watch the first game. If I don't see SIGNIFICANT improvement, I will spend my saturdays watching real football teams such as Alabama, OSU, etc.

It's hard to watch but as a loyal fan for close to 50 years I'll still support the team in any way. However, it is hard to watch the same song and dance for year after year. IMO, if Kentucky was serious about football the first thing would to get out of the SEC. We're just too far behind the other established programs when it comes to recruiting. Now we can't even beat Vandy.

I posted this to discuss REAL solutions. Stoops isn't going anywhere in the near future. I want Schlarman gone. We need an oline coach in the worst way.

His entire staff needs to go. Schlarman is just one of the problems.

Needs to go and actually going are two different things. Dawson and Elliott aren't going anywhere. Unfortunately. So whose head can be on the chopping block that will benefit this team? Schlarman.

Schlarman should be gone. WR coach should be gone. Wonder if Marrow has any WR knowledge. Think about having a special teams coach.

I agree; it won't happen but we can only wish.

It doesn't matter what Stoops does or doesn't do in the offseason as far as changes. It is over for this staff. Next season: schedule is harder, youth movement on defense, no QB. It Mitch wasn't a eunuch, he'd make the change now.

I've watched Kentucky football for over 50 years. Mostly disappointing years. As far as I'm concerned UK has had only one quality team in that time span, the 1977 team that finished rated 7th in the polls, undefeated in the SEC, and only 1 loss for the season. Also ended up on probation and banned from a bowl game. Other than the '77 team there were a few above average years under Claiborne and also the Brooks years. But in most years it's been depressing watching the Cats.
So, I've finally seen it for what it is. UK is a basketball school. Football will always be something to watch and kill time until basketball season starts. It doesn't matter that other schools, such as Michigan State and Notre Dame, can be national contenders in both sports. Kentucky can't do it.

In terms of talent I think the defense next year will be better. I like what we return in the secondary. Scheme and execution? Probably more of the same.

Brumbaugh needs to go also. Our D-Line couldn't get any pressure on the QB all year. UofL was near the bottom of D-1 football in sacks allowed and we didn't sack their QB 1 time.

I agree with your other 2 coaches(O-Line and WR) needing to go also.

Glass half full part of me says that we ... got a lot of young guys snaps this year on D. Should be all around better on D if the lbers aren't a drop off. The O returns everyone and get a really good juco OT. Rest of the OL should be a little better little bigger and a little smarter.

As much as a want to fire a bunch of people right now deep down I think if any changes are made it should be to let Dawson hire his side of the ball. If substantial improvement isn't made next year then you start looking for a new coach.

Hopefully this staff looks in the mirror cause we had better talent out there. It is squarely on coaches for this loss. No discipline. No toughness. I'm still a UK fan but this **** is hard to watch.

The sad part is that we really do nothing good. We are bad on offense, defense, special teams,, coaching, strength and conditioning, and maybe even our water boys. Don't know about the last one, but with everything else being mediocre I don't know how those guys could be good at their job. .

A lot of times you are decent on one side and bad on the other, but not the case for Kentucky. I don't know what you can do besides changing the whole environment of the program and that starts and ends at the top.

Need a QB coach...somebody who can focus solely on developing and mentoring PT, DB, and whomever is coming in...preferably somebody who has a track record in a P5 conference and maybe even has spent some time at the pro level...

Dawson has got to worry about the offense as a whole and should devote his time accordingly, and the QBs need somebody who can just work with them individually and not spend time on other offensive duties...

also, Dawson may need to go up to the booth so he can have a bird's eye few of everything...

May need to look at giving somebody run game coordinator duties...lot of places are doing it...Dawson can be OC/Passing Game and bring in a solid OL or RB coach and let them do the run game...

need to bring in some veterans at some of the other position coaches as well...

DJ probably needs to be replaced as DC...if he'd like to stay on as LB coach and chief recruiter great...but I think CMS really needs to go and bring in a big fish DC...

Need to really put our WRs through the gauntlet this off season...I mean they need catch at least 10,000 balls each, have somebody throw bricks at them to toughen their hands, and do drills to help improve hand eye coordination...

Running Backs need to put on about 12lbs each...just look at the LSU and Bama backfields...they are heavy...

Elam needs to drop about 15lbs and somebody needs to really work on his technique and fundamentals...

I hear that the New England Patriots win now and then, wanna watch them?

I can't and wont switch my fandom to another team. However I would prefer to watch good football games instead of this trash we're getting. Why watch us get the brakes beat off us every week, when you could watch top 10 teams duking it out.

#1 is a possibility, but don't expect results from it.... too little too late.
#2 is a need apparently... we lost a great one in Peveto to LSU (he ain't coming back)
#3 could argue we need a QB guy because I think we got two good kids but aren't being developed... I don't think you coach catching.

All you cry babies wiening kicking and screaming is pathetic. Like it or not,we are 2 good recruiting classes away before we can compete within the SEC. I hope that our recruits show more loyalty to Kentucky than some of the so called fans do.
