He missed too many open receivers. There must have been 3 on that drive at least.

LOL...that didn't take long! But don't worry, he's managing the game well. No turnovers, and we're not losing yet.

Seriously, though...didn't look too sharp on that drive.

...and keep in mind this is one of the worst defenses in college football.

Laviano will turn it around, but he's looked bad on both drives for many of the reasons we think rettig would be a better fit.

Seems more & more like Flood issued a directive - that as long as he can walk onto the field, under no circumstances can Laviano be taken out.

Well, there's really no reason to take him out at this point. Kansas is really bad.

Or that we -- as a fan base -- subscribe to the notion that our sports entertainment is conspiratorially designed to frustrate and disappoint us.

there will be opponents coming up who are stronger than Kansas ... just because the lack-luster play of Laviano is not bad enough to jeopardize the game is not a strong reason to continue to play him - Laviano is what he is - it is pretty clear - so - since there apparently is little risk - why not get Rettig into the game to show some of what he can do.

No need to keep talking about this. It ain't happening with Flood calling the shots.

Why do I have a strange feeling Flood will review the tape of this game and decide it's time to give Rettig a start? Of course, it'll come against the best team we've faced to date. So if Rettig strugggles, he never has to hear fans complain again.
