We are still, it seems, trying to tackle Rick Williams today.
It was 1991 and we had the blocky interlocking MSJ (which is underrated in my opinion).
Approved! And just keep the damn thing while we’re at it. Just keep it - put it on the helmets and don’t ever put anymore thought into it. No need to overthink it.
In 91-92, We were wearing another logo that state fans bitched about.
I still remember seeing Tim Nelson fearlessly meeting Williams in the hole and being absolutely trucked

That's the fat interlocker. I prefer the skinny interlocker. Hard to tell what the fat one is from a distance. Skinny one, much easier to see.
This one is much better. It’s not close. This is the classic Mississippi State helmet.
Fat interlocker is MSJ. I wish everyone could keep this straight. ROSEBOWL even thought the trademark registration on the MSJ logo covered the interlocking MSU. It didnt. They are different logos.

This is the 3rd time we've worn this mfer this year, and I agree, this is the right one. Maroon helmet, white facemasks. If we win, we keep this helmet and STFU about it forever. If we lose, we cut bait with it and STFU about it forever.
That solves the helmet. Now we have to get the mouth-breathers to quit pushing the damn script on us at every outset, bound and determined to get rid of our recognizable official university logo.
LOL wouldn't doubt some of our guys still have cleat marks where he ran over our ***. It was brutal.
I had end zone seats and could basically see the bodies flying as Ricky ran towards me. God it was awful. I got so freaking tired of hearing their I’ve been working on the railroad fight song. Also, walking out of the stadium while the Texas fans were chanting “poor Jackie” wasn’t great
I saw Ricky truck 3 guys that were standing there waiting for him. He scored and I understood he was at another level at that point in his career
