Football IQ not a strong suit for him. All the arm talent in the world but between the ears is severely lacking. 2 ints today have been just DUUUMMMBBBB throws.

TA too talented to sit on the bench...if POB is real deal, TA should play tight end or slot receiver or maybe running back.

Extremely likely. POB is in a different stratosphere compared to the qbs on the roster right now.

I just don't see it. Every time we change out a coaching staff there is supposed be some true freshman savior yet it hasn't happened in quite some time.

When was the last time we've had a true freshman starter? The last one I can remember is Frazier..

You don't think a true freshman QB won't make just as many bone-headed decisions?

I'd rather stick with Tommy and run an option offense next year. He would have been a good option QB.

Exactly.... boggles the mind that people on here can't see just how dumb TA is on the field. He's not a D1 qb, doesn't have the smarts to be under center...
He has the athleticism, know will argue that. His ints were terrible today, they were terrible against Rutgers, Michigan state... He just makes bad decisions and doesn't seem able to fix that.

I don't care how many mistakes TA makes, a true freshman isn't going to come in and mop up on the starting role. Even if they did end up as a starter then it's out of desperation rather than winning out because of your other worldly college football skills. They're true freshman and they're going to make some stupid decisions, the difference between the good ones and the mediocre ones is that they improve as they mature in the college game. Sorry but not a whole heap of high school QB's are ready to play the starting role as soon as they set foot on campus.

armstrong makes some mistakes in the passing game but he also has made some extremely important plays in the running game which many QBs couldn't make.

We'll be better with a better QB for sure. Our coaches just aren't very sharp, and that's a big problem---hope they can figure things out.

Even if POB is really good, a freshman QB is never going to come in an light it up. Remember how average Mitch Mustain was his freshman year? Next year will be up and down too unless the defense shuts down opposing offenses and we play mistake free football, which I am not counting on. I'd love to be wrong, however.

I get that, but he is kind of a joke on this board because of Tulsa Toms man crush on him.

TA is still making freshman mistakes. Might as well start a freshman and hope he learns from those mistakes...unlike TA.
