Iowa State's guard said that, going into the game, they knew that Kentucky might "lie down" if hit with adversity. I presume that was part of the scouting report on the Cats. He said that when they kept turning UK over, there came a point when Kentucky's body language was that of a beaten team that just wanted it to be over.

I think our fan base felt the same way about the season as a whole. It was a frustrating, exhausting year and, despite Pope's comment that the Cats would play much better in the tournament, we knew better. We knew that a sequestered team meeting on Selection Sunday wouldn't make any difference. We knew that incessant hyperbole was mostly noise that meant little.

Next year promises more of the same. The only winner is Mitch, whose incompetence will be rewarded with a sweetheart retirement deal worth around $1M per year.

I don't mean to be pessimistic, just reality based. When you know, you know, and that now includes most of BBN.

Tyrese Haliburton or whatever his name is better think his lucky stars he can play basketball because if he talked like he did in those headlines nobody would hire the idiot. He said” they think they Arkansas alumni” now after the Kentucky loss, speaking about former Kentucky players in the NBA. They think they, what kind of talk is that. Sounds like he never learned the English language.

It was like a 6-month root canal ... a more or less continuous display of shockingly bad basketball, punctuated by a few, occasional moments of awesomeness (MM shot, OO shot, UT comebacks) to temporarily mask the pain. Yeah, it got a little better second half of the season, but that ain't saying much.
