He was not available after the game last night and he was caught on camera with the "What the 17 did he just say?" comment during the UK game.

Honorable Mention goes to Stansbury himself.

Does Coach34 count?

Lewis started the year and really appeared to be improving. Not what I saw last night and he has actually 'regressed' over the season.

doesn't he have some sort of checkered past or something? I seem to remember something about that.

it's none other than Rick Stansbury. He is the "enabler" of all bad habits. He doesn't enforce the right way or discipline and effort. He is the person most in charge. He is the ultimate leader of the team and he doesn't lead. He has to go.

Rick is the enabler of the cancer and is the only consistent factor in any of this.

Don't see him as a problem. From watching him play and reading quotes from him, he seems like a hard worker with a good head on his shoulders.

Seriously. How would you, as a supporter of Rick, handle this situation if you were the AD?

edit to add: don't forget to address that the fans have spoken already through their support last night.....

Forgive me if I'm missing the hopeful sarcasm here...but you think Jalen Steele will be a cancer to the team next year? Are we talking about the same Jalen Steele that plays for MSU?

short of intentionally, actively trying to negatively influence other players. Ultimately, the only "cancer" is a weak coach like Rick.

If Stans gets the ax, I'm ok with it. I realize the folks have turned against him. He's only got himself to blame.

I just made the extremely obvious point that getting rid of Stans might work, and it might not. You have already stated your position that there is no other option. Basically that anybody would be better than Stans. And I seem to remember not so long ago when the mantra of the masses was anybody would be better than Sherrill. But then again, I guess there are still some people that think Crxxm was a good hire.

I have NEVER said that anyone would be better than Rick Stansbury. I have been consistent that anyone who teaches fundamental basketball and instills a culture of discipline and effort would be better than Stansbury. I believe there are people out there than can do this and that we have the money to hire them.

Other than that, I get what you are saying completely. We are definitely taking a risk in this situation but I think it is a very calculated risk considering the direction of the program in the last few years.

But 21-38 (10-30) with 1 bowl is better than 8-27 (3-21) and no bowls. Even if you throw out 2007, Crxxm is still better at 13-33 (6-26).</p>
