Is ESPN going to have an article on the men's college basketball landing page about attendance at th

Who thinks ESPN will not mention on the NCAAM landing page the capacity crowd that showed up for the press conference today?

They showed the Z portal news. If they are a real sports news site then they would talk about the 20k that just showed up to a press conference. That can't have been done anywhere before for college men's basketball when someone was hired to be a HC.

Edit-
Looks like it may be a regional thing. If anyone lives outside of the UK region/area and doesn't have UK selected as a favorite on the ESPN site, can you check the landing page for NCAAM in each of your browsers to see if the article shows up in all? Thanks

It was the lead story on their CBB page starting shortly after the event ended. And a giant picture of Pope is still the first thing you see when you click on the page.

Stop with the silly paranoia. It’s perhaps the one trait of our fan base that most annoys me. ESPN is not conspiring against UK.

No. It wasn't, and it wasnt paranoia, troll

It wasn't there in any of my browsers until a few minutes ago for whatever reason, or I wouldn't even have posted it as a poll. I would've just posted my surprise that it was there.

Just showed up in Firefox about the time you posted it. Showed up in Chrome not long after. I'm guessing that's because I just landed in this area after being outside of Kentucky for several days. Very interesting

This has been a constant thing going back a good number of years. When I had been visiting Virginia, NC, SC, FL, and anywhere up north, especially when using a VPN, I missed a lot of UK news and updates from their app and site. When I'm on regular wifi connection locally, no problem.

Can't say that it's ever been that way that I recall with CBS sports going back to the CBSsportsline days

No way what happened today can go unseen in any sport.

It was unseen over Charleston, WV and in Virginia. That's all I can tell you

I don’t think ESPN conspires for the downfall of UK but I don’t think they think very highly of Kentuckians or our program. But that holds true for most media and not just ESPN, imo.

In the coverage of Calipari to and from Kentucky, in particular, it does seem like a lot of the voices that tried to shame Kentucky for firing BCG so soon for Cal are now the voices blaming fans for running Cal out of town and saying we’re entitled. Just feels like we can’t win with some of them. Maybe blaming it on the network as a whole is technically wrong but I get where he’s coming from. It probably is down to a more individual basis and not a company directive.

Exactly. I never said that.

They don't and they use UK to get as many hits as possible and lean towards portraying the program in a negative light, unlike others.

It's not "blaming a network" so much as observing a habitual pattern of behavior on their website over 20+ years.

On 3 very memorable, separate occasions either I or friends of mine, while away on business or personal matters in another region, could not see UK scores and content listed from the main landing pages of ESPN.

-1 was when a UK football game was in progress (we were ranked at the time) was not listed on the SEC SCHEDULE, the Top 25 scores page, and the game was not available in the main SCORES page. My friend was in Illinois at the time. I could pull it up no problem in Lexington.
-Another was a basketball game when someone was trying to get info from somewhere in NC. Again, not on the websites gameday schedule, and no gamecast available that day during the game.

There have been times when it wasnt available in the same areas of their site even from Lexington nodes, but I don't remember specific details. It's not a network issue, but has clearly been a web dev issue. It's just one of the reasons I check the site in different browsers as I did today. When it wasn't visible there, I posted the poll

Aww. Bless your little organ. When you're wrong AGAIN and I happen to see your posts, I'll just put loving eyes emojis for you. Poor dear

I'm in Bowling Green but have my browsers set to not share my location.

Thanks for confirming this.

Same here as far as location. When I'm on Wifi without VPN, I have no choice about sharing it. I need to change providers to do that.

No UK LIVE COVERAGE…..
Cal had LIVE COVERAGE….

Simple-Cal has blinded the media.

UK is building and will be rolling….

Actually, they had said it was going to be on SECN+ live. Was it not on there? Couldn't get my streaming service to load during the trip, but was able to stream through UKathletics on the web
