Let's Settle It: Don't Stop Believing

I'm for it if we're not losing, but if the crowd is in to the game in the 4th, maybe stop it somewhere in the middle, especially during a tv time out and play something like thunderstruck that is not so mellow to get everyone whipped into a frenzy to make things even louder.
If not this, then replace.

To me it is part of the MSU game day experience now. No way we should replace it because Dan claims it was his idea.
It is part of the game day experience. It's incredible to me the minority who are so vocal about this. Go listen to the crowd singing along during the 2017 Bama game on YouTube. If you're against it, that video is very much the proof that you are in the minority.
I'm actually shocked we aren't more vocal about removing the Dawg Pound Rock. The song itself is probably top 5 worst of all time and it's clear the players are just doing it because they are being told to. It was cool in the late 90s when it started unprompted and used as an intimidation factor late in the game, but now its hokey and dumb.

I like it but I'm probably biased. It's the music of my generation. I spent many a night riding in the Jeep with the top off throwing Miller pony bottles at road signs and that cassette in the supertuner. It brings back memories, most of them good. Mullen may have suggested the song but the fans reaction was organic. It belongs to the fans more than the coach.
But they already play Thunderstruck and similar songs for the entire game. Plus a crowd can't sing along with Thunderstruck. That song would defeat the point

It was cool for 1 season....but let’s not make It a Templeton style decision... gotta go with something new...something with more umph.....Journey was Dans. Dan is gone.
Give our student body a week to give nominations....let our football team nominate a few, then take the top 3 songs and put it to a campus wide vote. Rinse repeat, every year until we get the perfect song. Something will stick but it won’t stick without the student body’s help. They make the university tick.....always remember that.

If you were at the Alabama game this past year and Honestly can say you didn’t get goosebumps when we played it then idk what you have going on inside.

Journey was not Dans. A fan wrote our athletic director years ago and suggested we play something between the 3rd and 4th quarter instead of playing commercials. He recommended several songs but for whatever reason we went with journey. Steve confirmed this on the boneyard last week and even said he read the emails.
When I hear it, it makes me think about the time frame with Dan as our coach. Things change, Mox.

Against it. It’s run it’s course. I think it’d be awesome in the right situations every now and then. Not up 40+ on FCS team or down 18 to Ole Miss. Playing it during the last 2 Egg Bowls was pretty damn embarrassing. Thunderstruck is my replacement but have a lineup. Don’t just focus on one.
Commercial Dispatch say Dan chose the song. All during the 2014 season, everyone said Don't Stop Believing was Dan's personal choice. I can certainly believe that some fan(s) were asking for a song before the 4th quarter, because that is not a unique idea. But I would have to see some hard evidence that Dan was not involved in choosing which song to play, since everyone said he chose the song when we first started doing it.

It’s a hell of a tradition to just throw away. I love AC/DC and I know some want to hear thunderstruck, I personally don’t know why we don’t play all or portions of Hell’s Bells throughout the game. To me it’s a perfect fit. But it’s not a good fit for the song we play between the 3rd and 4th quarter that 95% of our fan base will be willing to pass up $2 nachos to participate in a singalong ALL AT ONCE...........TOGETHER! Not many of those types of songs out there and we organically found one that is the perfect fit for our fan base...kids, students and old *** alumni alike.

Indifferent. Coolest part about it is the cell phone lights and the wholes stadium singing. And I don’t want to lose that. So if we find a better song that will continue then so be it
Every day that goes bye, I dislike Dijon Muffins a little more. My wish, you ask? Right before kickoff, I want Closer by NIN blaring on the jumbo Tron.....all the words, we can hold hands and sing it together.
