I can't stand rumors..people need to stop posting them. Let's look at all the rumored coaches and think logically if they would come here. Petersen: No, he has a great thing going up there in Idaho. If you read the CBS article the other day he isn't the kind of guy who would up-root his family for money...or to go to a program with little to no prestige. TT: No, he hates our school. He isn't stupid. Why would he come to the laughing stalk of the SEC instead of sitting on his back porch enjoying his 6 million while touching Kodi Burns? (Not Jacob Hester, relax coach34) Any other coach: No, they are not dumb. Dooley: The only option. The best option. The RIGHT option.

please do everyone a favor and just walk away. You are doing an admirable job of making an *** out of yourself.

Aren't you the one who has the contacts and break all of the information with Petersen and TT?

I am just saying that Dooley is a great option here. I am sure UGA fans thought the same thing when the hired a guy named Dooley no one had ever heard of.... Pretty sure that worked out for them.

I am not saying you are wrong, but i dont agree. We will leave Petersen alone for the moment even though MSU's prestige is just as much as Boise State (In my opinion).
Tubberville now has no job, so if he has limited opportunities then the way i see it he may make one of three moves.

1. Sit on his *** and count his money for at least a year until another firing season arrives Note: this is risky it could be great or terrible for his career.
2. Look for a job in the pros as possibly a coordinator (I don't see him being a head coach)
3. Take a job in college even if it is at MSU and make about 2+ million per year for about 3 years.

You ever think that Tubberville hates MSU because we have always been a divisional conference game for him and he started out at Ole Miss.

You need to read the rules buddy.

5. Posting of rumors, innuedo, second hand knowledge, he said/she said, and the like are not only allowed, they are encouraged. Feel free to share any info you feel is solid. Be aware that being wrong opens you up for endless ridicule.

just BSing, but in case you aren't- let me say this to the Dooley people.

Derek Dooley is a good coach. He has a good pedigree- grew up with Vince, and has some other family that were coaches like Bill Dooley, who coincidentally was a assistant coach at MSU.

He has coached under Nick Saban at LSU, and has been in the NFL. He is a HC and an AD- which is pretty impressive for his age.

BUT

The fact is he is not ready for the SEC. We need someone that is dominating a smaller conference. For example, Graham, Petersen, Patterson or in a perfect world, someone like Kelly, and honestly I would take Tommy Tuberville over Dooley. Derek Dooley needs at least two more years. I think he is a coach to watch, but if he took our job right now, I think he would get eaten alive by Saban, Nutt, Kiffen, and etc. Hiring Dooley right now would be a big time gamble, and we need to stop gambling because we have lost the last three hands.

Are we in the same division? I had no idea... Also, I think he more so hated Sherrell than he did our University....

Course I don't see how we could get him out of his contract w/ South Park.

It would be fun watching him throw his head phones to the ground when Brigone jumps offsides.</p>

so by your logic that hiring a relative of a great coach is a great idea - why aren't you plugging Skip Holtz in the same fashion? Or Steve Spurrier's son. Or Shane Beamer? Just b/c daddy was a good coach doesn't alway make the son a great one in-waiting.

Now, he may turn around several years from now to have been a great hire wherever he lands or he may never make the leap. But just having a famous last name and having coaching experience under another famous name does not make a person themselves a great coach.

Wasn't being a jackass. I was just simply implying that his dislike for MSU may have come from being the head coach at Ole Miss (i don't want a coach who doesn't hate his rivals or at least shows that he hates them). Then he went to Auburn and it just simply followed him there.

Luckily for Houston Nutt he was able to transfer his rivalry with LSU to Ole Miss.
