The reason I asked was quite a few HS coaches get 30 years in, retire, cross state lines get vested in 1 and sometimes 2 other states retirements. Happens pretty often where I live, 30 miles from TN and 50 from Alabama. Not just coaches but teachers too.

This coach looks to be kinda young. Don’t think retirement came into play but sometimes it does.

I coached with some guys that did that. Living in Kentucky close to Tennessee line. They retired in Kentucky and then coached in Tennessee.

It's really a smart decision if your intentions are to coach into your 60's. GA has about a 350 mild border with AL and quite a crossover each way.

He was only the coach there a couple of seasons. He was a d coordinator at a small college before that. Dooesnt seem like a collect two paychecks thing. Seems more like it’s a chance to coach at a place like Moeller and on the money side KY coaches don’t get paid like the football states pay. Even coaches in the Nashville area dwarf what coaches in KY get outside of maybe Trinity or X.

^ Eddie Eviston at CovCath started at over $125K when they hired him away from Georgetown College.

I believe that covcath is one of those schools too. There are just few schools like those in KY. I know Catholic doesn’t play in anywhere near that neighborhood. Does he have a function in the school other than coach?
