On his visit to LSU last weekend he was helping recruit junior college wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson to Ole Miss. Patterson is the No. 1 rated junior college football player in the nation and has said Ole Miss is in his final three.

“I was kind of in his ear about Ole Miss,” Liggins said. “The Ole Miss coaches asked me to keep an eye on him. I did.”

Who knows but if he announces for State on the square - he is "My boy" for the next 4 seasons.

we now have Liggins wrapped up. He's been on here for days saying it was between LSU and MSU. FWIW, I still think he's heading to Bearville.

You can't like the comments about recruiting for TSUN. However you have to like the fact that he wants to win "Championships". Sounds like a bulldog already.

Liggins into Patterson's ear, " Ole miss sucks, how could you consider them with all your other offers?".

On a similar note, Bobby Massie is still my boy even though he never lived up to expectations and left a year too early more than likely, simply because he punked Alabama on signing day and pissed off their fans by throwing their hat aside.

That's the fun part of signing day to me, watching the wailing and gnashing of teeth. It's not the thrill of victory. It's feasting on the tears of defeat that I enjoy.

I would assume for most MSU fans, that they'll always love Liggins if he announces for MSU on the square, even if he never plays a snap or never achieves much more than being a special teams contributor. The pain of a rival is the fun part of signing day. You have to admit it.

I don't see how Liggins and Brown don't leave campus this weekend short of ownership in a bank branch. They'll be red an blue come Monday.

Very classy.

Also, if anyone thinks its a coincidence that LSU's DL coach is the one recruiting Liggins, and Liggins says LSU is out at the same time, well Im not sure what to tell you.

Im just surprised Coach didn't break this news earlier today with his Lafayette High sources.

I have heard that this David Johnson guy has straight up lied on previous quotes. They match up perfectly with these. OM 247 is the lowest traffic om site no doubt, he is trying to get subscriptions. Might be black helicopter **** but this goes against what I have been hearing

That site is trying to drive traffic, and hell that article is on twitter, here, and probably the Ole Miss boards. It will drive traffic.

You are probably right, but Haley recruits MS for LSU either way. I'm some of it has to do with his time with MSU.

He also recruited Anthony Alford and Richie Brown some.

You also have to consider that Steve Kragthorpe, the QB coach, has Parkinson's. I doubt they send him on the road.

stood up to the pressure and came to play for the Dawgs. That dude had plenty of backbone and fortitude.

^^^^^^^^^^^^This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ And look at my previous post. It really look like he borrowed quotes from Marcello and plugged them in the middle to make his story sensational

Don't think that backbone and fortitude were the only thing that influenced him, but point taken.

Now he spends his time hanging out with Jamarca Sanford.

Metcalf talked last week about how he was set to pick Alabama. Had told his family members he was going to Tuscaloosa. Then he walks into the Clarksdale library and sees hundreds of OM fans dressed in red and blue. He chickened out at the table and picked up the OM hat.

The pressure on Liggins is 10 fold what it was on Metcalf. Unless he pulls a Robert Elliot and goes into WITSEC between now and Feb. 1... he'll be a rebel.

I can GUARANTEE he could have gotten that and more from you guys so that is NOT the reason he signed with MSU.

and I doubt he will, he won't do it at a big public session in front of a bunch of OM fans. If he keeps his announcement in person at the Oxford public square then he is a Bear.

Hell, I'm in. Get a group up from starkville. If nothing else, its a chance to pound some brews on the square. Win win all the way around the board.

You have to understand the dynamics of Pegues Hill to understand.

I'm not suggesting that MSU gave him anything.
