Like our approach in the 1st inning

Even though all we got was a walk, we made Wahl throw 20 pitches I believe. Made him pitch deep into counts. Not sure if that was the strategy or just how it happened, but I think it's a good idea to make a very good, but young pitcher go deep into counts. Would be nice to get him out of the game as soon as we can and get into their bullpen.

</div><div>Wahl's a young guy. I'm big on the mental part of the game. Have to wonder if last inning is going to bother him. We need to jump on him here and kill his confidence. Work the count and make him pitch a lot.</div>

As I say that, **** at bats. At least call time and mess his timing up. He's in a groove and is pitching quick. Make him slow down. Geez.
